Video produced for the Billy Schumacher Memorial Service on September 30th, 2023. The event was attended by about 300 people at the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum in Kent, Washington.

A great racer, a good looking guy from Seattle...he had it all, and was a fine representative of the sport. Interesting, how he stopped, and then started his career a couple of times! The old thunderboats were the best, full of the sound and the fury of those huge aircraft engines. The noise of six hydros roaring full blast into the South Turn on Lake Washington, was epic, and unforgettable. Seattle was such a unique city to grow up in!...I am an old Boomer now, full of great memories growing up in this beautiful city.
What a great Memorial to a great guy, well you folks, was an absolute pleasure to watch.
I met him a few years ago and he was a true gentleman.
