I'm not even sure Zach Wilson was a bust. The right offensive minded head coach might have made all the difference in his development. What I'm saying is, he got Jetsed/Bearsed.
No dude, he's a bust. It's not entirely his fault, but only because he should have been probably a 3rd round or later pick. Either way, there's a reason he's a 3rd string QB in Denver behind Jarett Stidham.
The thing about being just a QB away from winning a Super Bowl is you need to be winning before you get that QB. If you can’t win without a franchise QB, you likely have deeper issues, usually revolving around weaknesses in the offensive line.
@@bigchungus1848 Tampa real weakness before Brady got there was really the QB play. Jameis was just too inconsistent and it showed with that 30 and 30 season. Brady bought in stability and they made smart moves during the season that helped get them the chip.
They got Jordan Travis. They don’t need to draft a QB. And if this college football season taught us anything, it’s Jordan Travis is way better than scouts gave him credit for.
As an fsu and fan Travis was great for us however I am curious to see how his game translates to the nfl. He tended to run around a lot and escape sacks at the last second and make plays down field but he might not be able to get away with it in the nfl especially with his leg injury
Brady to the Bucs was not terrible, 2/3 years winning record and they went to the playoffs all three years. Also the Browns had their QB, we all knew he was injured. Now look at them haha
I still can't believe people were touting the jets as super bowl contenders. We were supposed to believe that an organization that's only posted a single winning record in 13 years was suddenly going to go to the super bowl, or a deep playoff run, or even a playoff appearance? Lmao, kiss my ass Now granted, how the jets season has played out has been an extraordinary trash fire that scuttled any chance of anything remotely positive after the cowardly assassination of Robert Saleh by Aaron Rodgers, but even if that hadn't happened, I don't believe in a 40 year old QB coming off an achilles tear being able to bring the fucking Jets to the playoffs.
Jets and Bears are franchises that can't realize to themselves that they are a bygone era and really need to accept that and really want to do what it takes to win in this modern offensive driving world now. They need to adapt so badly, but either can't or won't accept it.
Those QB rankings from The Ringer are a joke. That place has 0 credibility. It's like they're ranking QBs based on traits and not on the actual play that has occurred on the field.
Allen has shown he can win with different OCs. We don’t know how much of Goff and Lion’s success is Ben. He’s likely to leave soonish. I’d say Allen has a much higher chance of winning a SB than Goff
I thought they jumped the gun with Saleh. At the time I thought He could have turned it around if they gave him a chance. Now I think he’s lucky to have been fired when he did. Maybe he can distance himself from the circus. Still think his future is bright.
I still question Gute's brilliance. Other than Jordan Love and Josh Jacobs, tell me one thing he did right in the Aaron Rodgers era? He has more misses than hits in the draft (check the draft history and where they are at) Extending Rodgers and then releasing him shortly after and creating part of the drama in GB.
Agreed a few really aggressive free agency signings maybe could’ve won us a Super Bowl the years when Rodgers was MVP and we were close. He didn’t make those moves the same way the Rams and the Chiefs have when they were on the doorstep
Can you believe their fans thought the Jets were going to the Super Bowl. Even when they won the Super Bowl their star quarterback broke his fema bone after and never played again. And they have been in football hell ever since. At least the bills had Jim Kelly and Doug Flutie . It’s been 50 years of straight whiffing in the draft and free agency market
Steve Bisciotti is a good owner because it seems he rarely gets involved at all. It seems like he wanted to get OBJ last year, but other than that It is like he doesn't exist.
Jets went from being poorly coached with Saleh to not having a coach. All the dysfunction with this team now is all on Woody Johnson and it will be like this until either Woody sell the team or learns to leave the football decisions to the actual football people
It starts by doing what we did, get rid of Rodgers and don’t drag it on another year. The Jets situation is worse though lol except they do still have young talent there. Russ didn’t get everyone else fired.
Who's in a win now situation that needs a QB? You answered it 10 minutes before. If browns can get him for a league min contract maybe they do something crazy. My only fear is that our oline has been looking rough this year....
Since their Super Bowl win, the Jets have been to the playoffs nine times. That speaks to mismanagement. Any sport, find a franchise that always struggls for consistency and you will find poor, misguided ownership. Woody Johnson rivals Peter O'Toole in the all-phallic name.
Another guy from the NY NJ area who inherited family $$ and still can’t get it right and screws up everything he touches let’s give another high level job unbelievable, The guy down here in Texas is the same the modern day Al Davis an owner who is stuck in 1994
I respect the effort here, but Douglas was not good in the draft, and the examples are endless. When the Bucs drafted Wirfs, the Jets drafted Becton in the same draft, and it goes on from there.
Aaron Rodgers should be traded to either the Browns or Denver for an insane amount of money and draft picks and continue to play poorly so we get a bit more of how silly football can be. I mean we all need a real good laugh and watch these people play musical chairs with the worst trades in football history. Then move Watson to the Jets just for it's laugh value..
Jets may as well tank the season on purpose now. Clean the decks at the end of the season and begin again at all key positions (GM, HC, OC, DC and QB). Draft with a focus on the OL and get someone in the fix the defensive side. Go young and cheap. F**k Rodgers off the face of the earth. Of course, this would need people in the org to be competent and ruthless in the right way. Which… lol. It’s the Jets.
I don’t get the Eberflus thing I feel like people are judging him on hindsight. If he calls another play there’s a chance they lose yards or turn the ball over and lose. Even if they got closer, the kick gets blocked and they lose. I feel like the long snapper just got rolled 🤷
This Jets team is like when KD, Harden n Kyrie all went to the nets and did absolutely nothing😭 NY is cursed
Perfect comp
And just like Nets KD, Arod is taking over the organization with his starpower and causing bad staff decisions that further ruin the team
That Nets team had the perfect coach. in Kenny Atkinson.. but Kyrie said "no" to winning.
Its not a curse if its self-inflicted 🤷♂️

I feel like Eli should be in the HoF and also be its benchmark. Nowhere near his brother but somehow had Brady's number on 2 different superbowls.
He was never once on the field the same time Brady was. Wtf are you _talking_ about?
@ChewsCarefully dude they played in superbowl 2008 and 2012. it was the legit start of their rivalry.

Malik Willis to the Jets for a first rounder next year!
It's almost like a good offensive line is actually a requirement for any team to win.
To be fair to the giants, there's nothing my bucs love more, than losing to backup qb's for any and all inexplicable reasons possible.
