Your channel is truly such a gem, I love what you're doing! :) Also you make me want to buy lots of camera stuff which sucks but well thats how it works lol
For the insta360 it's great because it's so frictionless to use. The DJI also looks interesting. I've ordered the new DJI OSMO 3, waiting for it to be in stock. Between the Go3 and that I feel like that's a great UA-camr BTS combo for grabbing quick footage
@@jschoonj yeah I'm very keen to try it - I used the money I won from the Moment award to purchase it - but means I've gotta get it sent from their US store - so no idea when I'll get my hands on it!
That's what this camera taught me, once you strip away all the process and skill of operating larger professional cameras you can just mess around and chuck this camera around. It kinda gives you permission to be a bit messy which I like
Ha love this Ed! Those skate shots really remind me of the classic video images on skate films! Super awesome I need a BtS cam and this is something I’ll check out! Thanks dude
I had no interest in this camera until watching your video, great stuff Ed! I really love capturing memories so using my iPhone a ton recently, but this also seems like it'd be a super fun addition to document life📹
This is the first action cam that caught my eye to be honest, mainly for it's innovative design that I think really lends itself well to being playful and quick to use.
Hey Ed! i was wondering if you'll ever do a video about your favorite lenses, vintage lenses too! I saw that you got an Helios 44 and a SMC takumar and i would like to know what do you think about them since i'm thinking to get vintage lenses for my s5. Do you have any reccomandatioons by any chance?
Helios and the 50mm 1.4 super takumar are great choices! Same with the canon FD 50mm 1.4 Yeah I'll probably do a video at some point, I have had one partially made for a while I just need to revisit it!
Haha I also got this camera last week for the exact same reason! I'm in two minds with it at the moment. I really like the concept however I'm wondering how much I will actually use it especially as the quality is pretty poor indoors.
I think people are willing to accept lower quality footage for BTS / POV stuff - and being able to create a BTS lighting or production breakdown vid by wearing this little thing on a shoot is invaluable. I think it'd be tricky to use this in actual client work - but maybe one or two unique insert shots if you light it right. But yeah you do need to remember to mount it or wear it, but I think the friction of using this thing is much lower than a GoPro etc.
@@EdProsserthat’s exactly what I was thinking to use it for! Having a wide angle view of whatever we’re working on and then switching from that to POV, then the results and all the other razzle dazzle ✨✨
Which insta360 cam - the new insta360 ace? I think that probably has better image quality, but this is a lot easier and quicker to use which means it will probably get used more often. E.g. it was really quick and easy to mount and record on the Rika shoot even tho we were mad busy
This camera is so fun to mess around with
Yeah I was surprised by how much I loved it

Haha, thanks man! (And sorry!)
I bought a dji action 4 a few weeks ago for the same reasons! I love having the pov bts ability

@@EdProsser The Pocket 3 seems like it's really popular. Looks like it's out of stock everywhere but their own website! I have one on order as well.

I need them to make one of these with 10 bit. I love the idea of just recording your life with a camera
How about the new DJI Osmo??
@@EdProsser I still have yet to pull the trigger on that one
Love the last part about being playful in our business. Totally right 🤝🏼

It's great for getting simple BTS! Just look a bit like an idiot if you clip it to your baseball cap - worth it tho!
Always a fun time chilling with Ed!
You're always being filmed when you chill with me
such a fun video! love little life moments put together like that

How did you capture in full sensor mode?
Put the camera in "free frame" mode to do this
Been wanting one!
Between this and the new DJI Osmo I think you'd have the ideal kit for covering quick BTS and pieces to camera on the go.
