Yes, they are flexing in this song. Right now, they have over 700 awards worldwide. They hold the records from UA-cam to Guinness book records. There are 7 members to BTS. 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. They debuted in 2013. They have well over 300 songs in the discography, including group, rap line, vocal line, deuts, and solo songs. The 3 rappers also have their own solo album/mixtapes. As well as collaborations with other artists like Coldplay, Hasley, snoop Dogg, Nicki minaj, and others. If you want to travel down the bts rabbit hole, then start at the beginning with "no more dream" and work your way up through their discography. There are also lots of documentaries, behind the scenes, dance practices, and the own variety shows like run bts, in the soop, and bon voyage.

@Christina R where did you see they have over 900? When searching for a number, there isn't any mention of 900. As per the Taylor Nakamoto video, it was accurate up to May of 2022 stating over 700. In less than a year, somehow, 200 more awards were given?

Lol, it can seem that way, but I'm having so much fun I don't mind at all! They're worth it too. The music and performance ability is amazing, obvs, but they're also just incredible human beings. Humble (when they're not flexing in a song that is!), kind, smart, hilarious, generous...
I work full time and have 2 kids, you can be army if you so feel (streaming is just listening to their music because you like it, voting means you love them and like to give them all the awards, just that :P)

US musicians have received in total from the grammys ~1700 nominations vs korea only receiving 3 (and that's just classical musicians nomination) before bts received their 5 nominations. for a xenophobic award show it's an amazing achievement and they really have fought their way to the top.

I think once you know their come-up and hear all the struggles and bullying they endured just to be heard, you'll understand why they've earned the right to flex like they did here. :)
The kpop industry did its best to suppress them, but they beat them at their own game -- breaking into the West and becoming global on an unprecedented level so that other acts are scrambling to keep up.
They were the first group to bring their fans behind the scenes on the daily, as well as share their journey the way you see most groups do now -- really connecting with fans through social media and giving personal updates. It's what earned them their first Billboard Award in 2017 for Top Social Artist, and gave them their first exposure in the West. Funny enough -- after that win, aaaaaaall the other kpop groups suddenly opened social media accounts or revamped dormant ones.
Now it's the norm for kpop groups to make the same moves as BTS, mostly in an attempt to strategize the success they gained authentically and organically.
No lie, if anyone has earned the right to flex then it's them. Started in a tiny company and helped it grow to a giant international corporation that rivals all other Kpop labels combined.
If you want more recent stuff and you like the rappers 2 of them just released solo albums and the other probably isn't far behind. Check out the album Indigo by RM, and Jack in the Box by J-Hope. Suga will probably bedropping his before too long, but you can definitely check out Daechwita (pronounced day-chi-tah), his solo projects are under the name Agust D.
For the whole group I'd recommend Run BTS from their anthology album Proof.
And yes, they're really like that. Trying to get BTS tickets is like an Olympic sport, lol. They'll sell out stadiums in less than an hour.

BTS legit massive, have been awarded over 700 trophies to their name, worldwide (they're in the Guinness Book of World Records; they're achievements go well beyond their music too) + the biggest fan base in the world! these boys came up from nothing, helped to build up the biggest entertainment company in their industry off their own talents, getting a lot of hate along the way... yeh, they earned that flex alright!

Jungkook goes by JK if he chooses and his NOT THE Center/Face of the group. (and I'm really tired of people saying that) He holds an important poisition IN the Center of their act.
If someone sings/raps they are usually in the Center and JK has the most lines especially in older songs.
I don't like people talking about the hypotetical Center position because it usually means something along the lines of:
"He is the only person you need to pay attention to: the Justin Timberlake/Beyonce of the group" and that is simply wrong.

Their discography is so big with such a big variety it will make your brain hurt, and i dont actively dislike any of those hundreds of songs even though i definitely prefer some over others. I trust the rest of the commenters to help guide you, but I will say that if you want a recent song, you should check out the 2022 song "Run BTS". It may be hard to find the right one because they have a 2015 song called Run and a variety show called Run BTS (lol), but the song and the choreography are top tier. I can't say it's my all time favorite BTS song because I honestly don't know if i can choose one, but it's definitely top 20 and my favorite of the more recent songs. I also have no clue who my favorite BTS singer is. Every single one of them has had my favorite part in at least one of their songs, so they definitely all hold their own.

They were the biggest artist in 2020 and 2021 - No.1 global recording artist according to IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry) that records the worldwide consuming of artists - so when you combine all types of consuming worldwide (streaming, buying, radio, etc.) BTS was the biggest artist.

Yes it was brilliant I live streamed it on my laptop then I saw the concerts on the 2 Feburary on the big screen at the Cinema here in the UK. Lets just say everyone was singing in English and Korean and wanting to get up and dance. The sound of us shouting RM Rap lines was so lound that staff came to see what was going on.
My favorite singer in BTS? Whoever is holding the microphone is my favorite. They are all killers! BTS has a rap line and a vocal line but in all honesty, all 7 members can sing & rap. BTS can sing in every genre', so it just depends on my mood. To HYPE me up, I listen to harder Rap; UGH, Cypher 3, Outro' Tear. If you're looking for something fun; Run BTS, Yet to Come~Live from Busan. If you want to hear their vocals; House of Cards, Truth Untold, Butterfly. BTS are feel GOOD!

HUNDREDS of Awards and trophies. My current favorite song is Singularity- it changes frequently! One thing you will hear a LOT when you ask about favorites is OT7 or One True 7- it means you can have a slight bias but love and respect all 7 members because BTS is 7, not one or two. As you get to know them, you'll understand- they are not just great artists but fine people and they are all so very talented in many areas.
At debut, they were looked down upon, hated, tv stations turned off the stage lights during their performance, or even cancelled their performance. However, with tons of efforts, they were winning awards after awards, their stadium shows holding 700000to 100000 audience, the tickets were snapped up in minutes. Mic Drop is their teasing back all those who laughed and looked down upon them.
This song and video is what got me started with BTS. The list is very long they have a huge library, several solo songs/raps too. I like the Fire MV and Daechwita by Agust D ( he's the 2nd rapper you just saw and also goes by SUGA). 3 rappers and 4 vocalists make up BTS so their music is versatile, great bunch of guys who started at zero and took on a lot of hate.

Now, their company is already one of the most profitable company in South Korea. It's because of BTS that a struggling company became a muli-million company. These young men are very talented. They write, compose and produce their own songs since their debut album in 2013 up to now. There are 3 rappers, two of which came from the underground rap scenes who started rapping when they were only 13 and one was a champion street dancer who learned how to rap because of his love for hip-hop after joining BTS. There are 4 vocalists who have very unique and different vocal styles and range. One of them, Jungkook sang the themesong of FIFA in Qatar last year. They have more than 300 songs and their music genres include pop, hip hop, latin pop, edm, R&B, ballad etc. Their fans are not just teenagers but also adults in their 20s, 30s, 40s and even 50s and above. They are well-known not just for their singing, rapping and complex choreography but also their lyricism. They got the general public mostly adults because of the message they send through their music that resonates with the people who are struggling with depression, anxieties, social injustices, racial discrimination and many others. In korea there is something called the big 3 they are the companies that make the most successful idols funny enough Bts was from a poor company and struggled for years to win recognition would often be made fun off by the media they weren’t invited to award shows or variety shows they had to make their own they all slept in 1 room and would go outside to try and promote them since the kmedia didn’t through UA-cam they were able to connect with fans and the western audience while still not making money at all for years now look at them now they are the most successful group in korea no one has done half of what they did they were a big reason as to why K-pop is known worldwide have won Grammys the only K-pop group ever even nominated their fans (armys) are known for being very caring for the boys ignoring te toxic one but their story is beautiful how they would have to go on the streets to promote themselves to now worldwide stars really recommend checking out a documentary on who are they

Their style of songs is very varied, I suggest you listen to: Fire, Agust, Danger, 'ON' Kinetic Manifesto to start, then in a very different genre: Make It Right, 'Airplane pt.2 -Japanese ver.- ' (el mariachi), Butter and Dynamite, then you won't be able to stop wanting to discover more!

I love how the korean and american music industries try to hold them back, suppress their numbers and sales, but they always succeed because of their extremely hard work and the work of ARMY! we will always support our boys, and they deserve to brag, after being humble for SO LONG!
Also they were being denied time on variety shows(Korean equivalent of late night), so they made their own. most of the kpop groups follow the formula of BTS hoping to get close to their fame and always fall short. There are some amazing groups out there but BTS is always going to be my favorite
