The BU (Bangtan Universe) is an ongoing puzzle that many Armys have tried to solve, but it's too complicated.
You need to know that EVERYTHING in BTS’ music videos has meaning. I’ve researched so many things associated with literature, psychology, religion and the Bangtan Universe (BU) since I became an ARMY. It’s incredible how much I’ve learned because of these incredible artists. The snickers, the water, the fire, even the opening of the curtains, all have significant meanings. There are explanation videos for many of their music videos because they are so complex and often have cultural references that are not apparent to Western audiences. If it’s ever suggested to you that you should watch an explanation video, you should do it. It adds such depth and understanding to the experience and makes the music even better once you truly understand it.
You told him that everything and BTS music videos has meaning but you did not tell him about the fictional storyline that runs through albums and music videos! In the middle of his reaction he even asked if the BTS had a storyline he used a different word that I don't recall right now but it means storyline!

The reference to the snickers is because when jhope was a child his mom left him and all she gave him was a snickers bar.

It's about the fact you have to first learn to accept and love yourself because if you can't do that you can't really love anyone else and if you try it's just fake love not real love. When you don't know how to accept and love yourself you'll do anything to get someone to love you like changing everything about yourself for that other person so you don't know who you are anymore. You are being a fake person in order to try and get someone to love you. That is not love.
It's from the Love Yourself trilogy of Albums were they explore Self Love and the need to understand and love ourselves first so we can love another person as ourselves. Which is also a biblicial prinicple 'Love others as you would love yourself'. So if you can't love yourself how can you love another person.
There are a lot of BU (Bantang Universe) references in the MV that the on going story that appears in some song lyrics, some images in MV's in the webtoon, books etc. So somethings within this MV eg images are part of the Bantang Universe. The Snickers are as is Jin trying to save the flower in the explosion, the water and the fire also.

know that I have demands from you, I know that you are smart .. bts is not for nothing the biggest artists now is a reason .. any music they have not only sounds good but the lyrics are very deep: for example Baepsae is f funny but in fact it's about about the problems in Korean society...Blood sweet and Tears is related to Herman Hesses' Psychology..novel Damian..in which it is about temptations..in which you have to choose between good and evil..if you listen to Bts you will be shocked how deep are they...
If you like rap, I recommend Rm :Persona Agust D :Shadow..J Hope Ego ..the album Map of the soul is based on the book Jung s map of the soul abaut the theories of Carl Jung created for psychology..Suga and Rm are passionate about these books ..if you listen to these songs you will understand what I am talking about ..basically we as humans are formed from the Shadow ..Persona and Ego ..I would recommend that if you want to watch a video and related explanation Bts are too complex....I know

As you may have seen in some other comments everything in BTS music videos has a specific meaning. weather is part of the fictional storyline or it's just a deeper meaning for that particular song and music video.
Yes they have a storyline it begins with the song I need you from there most beautiful moment in life part one first album of their youth trilogy of albums. It is also the 1st song and music video and the beginning of their fictional storyline.
The fictional storyline is pretty extensive it runs through BTS albums songs music videos it also has books novels, short films, highlight reels, background notes, a graphic novel in the form of an online webtoon a video game. They also have a second video game titled BTS world which is not an original part of the storyline!
