When I first heard they collaborated with a symphony I was super skeptical. Metallica??? What??? Then I heard this and was blown away. So good!
♥️♥️♥️
then you should watch them in S&M in 1999
Being a classically trained musician, and big into baroque, Cliff would have eaten that up.
I was there for the 2nd night in SFO. The energy was just intense.
Это не просто хорошо - это великолепно 👏
Metallica has collaborated twice with the San Francisco Orchestra, the original "S&M" concerts were back in 1999(with their previous bassist, Jason Newstead), and then "S&M2" in 2019, which this video is from. The setlists are a bit different of course, since they had a couple of new albums to work with in 2019. Both concerts are incredible, I think you'd really enjoy seeing them in full. For me the standout in S&M2 has to be James singing "Unforgiven III" without the rest of the band, only the orchestra is accompanying him. Whatever technical imperfections there might be in his singing, it's one of his most soulful, emotional performances I've ever heard. This song, "No Leaf Clover" was one of two songs written specifically for the original S&M shows. Occasionally they'll play it in their regular concerts, but not very often.
Thank you very very much for sharing this, I truly appreciate it. They are really amazing♥️I will check out the original too♥️
NLC has been a frequent staple live for the last several years, while not played at EVERY show, it is played quite often
Of all the reactions I have watched for this song. You are the best. I could watch this a few times a year and enjoy it every time. Thank you for you reaction. edit: There is a making of the 1999 concert. It shows the making of the whole thing.
Awww thank you very very much for your kind words and appreciation, much appreciated
This one was written specifically to be performed with the orchestra. However, I always wanted to hear Metallica's music performed by orchestra before this (or the first time). Their older stuff translates well to classical (thank you, Cliff!).
Thanks for sharing🤗
You have such a beautiful voice Aaliyah ❤, this is one of the few songs they've done since And Justice For All that is really well done, the strings and orchestra add such a beautiful balance to the heaviness of the band, great reaction!
Thank you very much for your kind words and compliment Mr. Christopher, thanks for sharing too
Awesome. Metallica and Symphonie match really well. Loved your reaction.
Thanks so much Mr. Julian🌺
Fun Fact: This is one of two ORIGINAL songs on the album written in collaboration with the Symphony. The rest of the album is the symphony participating in songs already famous by the band.
- Human isn't played enough
Thanks so much for sharing the Fun Fact🌸
Written for the performance in 1999.
@@tijmen5355: They have trouble playing it because they've got to breathe, man, breathe.
You are so right how James sounds in the video! He does sound epic!
But how they put this song together is truly epic!
This song is a MASTERPIECE!!
Thanks for reacting to it young lady!
I really enjoyed your reaction!
Thanks so much too

👍😊
The most incredible rock song ever!
😍
God, I love this song!
🥰
Led Zeppelin the biggest band in the his-story of rock did there song "Kashmir" with a Egyptian Orchestra. A must see think you would love it. Led zeppelin was the band that inspired bands like Metallica.
Thank you very much for your recommendation, i will check it out too♥️
You are just amazing, and just so amazingly good at this. Thanks!
Greetings from Norway.
Thanks so much and greetings too🌺
amazing this band
🥰🥰🥰
Both times they did this is worth a full listen. Peace/JT
😊
As a long time metalhead and growing up playing the piano some I’ve always felt that metal and classical go together. They are so similar musically.
Thanks for sharing Miss Susan😊
I can’t take credit for this as I read it in another post; Classical music is metal before electricity.
This is why I like nightwish epica within temptation and other symphonick metal bands so mutch this is real music nothing like that crap you hear on mainstream radio
Yes indeed♥️♥️♥️thanks again Mr. Gerry💕
Epica s retrospect show is a almost 3 hour show they did for their 10 year anyversery with a full on Orchestra and choir you must check that one out. Have a nice 3 hours and mind blowing time
Thanks so much, i will check that one too💕
20 years*
Too bad epica sucks
Love your reaction, for me the most epic song of Metallica!
Thanks so much😍
Back in the beginning Metallica formed in LA. However they really wanted Clif Burton a stellar bassist who’s only terms was they had to move to San Francisco and rest is history.
After becoming the biggest band in the world James did take some vocal lessons but mainly for endurance and longevity for his voice. Please find an 80’s version of Fade to Black and compare young vs old Hetfield.
Thanks so much for sharing🤗🤗🤗
DIMMU BORGIR - Gateways (LIVE - FORCES OF THE NORTHERN NIGHT)
Thanks for sharing Mr. Christian😍
Hi Aaliyah. Right there in your back yard ha ha. The whole set up is awesome. The lighting, the sound, epic, powerfull performance. Big orchastra. All the orchastra members be like, yah I played with Metallica last weekend. A lifetime memory for sure. Enjoy your weekend, hope a no homework weekend ha ha. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much Mr. Dave🤗🤗🤗you too i hope you enjoyed your weekend. It was a busy two weeks for me in school🙏
if you like it then you check Burgerkill "Killchestra" - An Elegy (Official Video)
funfact : once you hear metallica's song it's like digging a rabbit hole lol
welcome to METAL MILITIA !
Thanks so much for sharing😊
I think you’d get a real kick from Devin Townsend doing “Kingdom”. The live version for EMGTV is pretty bonkers.
Thanks so much, I will check it out too♥️
METALLICA..EPIC?🎸👀🤘..ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!
🥰🥰🥰
Imho this is second choice . Please listen to the first recording , when Maestro Michael Kamen (R.I.P.) was leading the san Francisco Symphonie.
Don't get me wrong , this one is still good , but the recording with Michael Kamen in frisco is a masterpiece.
Thanks for sharing
Cool video, the original from 1999 is even better!
Thank you
I personally would have preferred you react to the first one (1999). I believe that was the better of the two performances.
Oh thanks for sharing your feedback, i will check it out too
Awesome 👌 👏 👍 react to """fade to black" live in Seattle 1989......
Thanks so much Mr. Gerardo, I will check it out too💕
Metallica are on another level they're so so so so so good
Yes they are really so amazing
i feel like its easy for them they are great a filling spaces with a wall of sound the band and orchestra sound fantastic
🌺
Please also react to the original S&M version from 1999, conducted by the great late Micheal Kamen.
This is merely a tribute to Micheal's greatness in my opinion
Thanks for sharing
Opening chord is step of conquer.based on Schubert's definitions.
Thanks for sharing

REACT METALLICA "ONE" LIVE SEATTLE 89 PLISS 💔😭💔😭
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
💕💕💕
Yes, it is so impressive and amazing, i love it so much💕thanks so much Mr. Daniel
@@AaliyahCapili gracias a ti por tu trabajo, es un placer ver los vídeos saludos y siento no saber mucho inglés
The lead guitarist Kirk Hammet is a Filipino-american,,, his mom is from Leyte 🙃🤘
Oh thanks so much Mr. Kris for sharing🌸
😍😍😍
Thanks mommy
Really enjoyed your reaction! One of the most epic songs of Metallica and unfortunately not very popular.
I really liked your sincere enjoyment of the song. It's worth checking their very first S&M performance of this song, from 1999. IMO one of the best vocal performances by James live:

Thanks so much for sharing, it is indeed so enjoyable and amazing. 💕💕💕♥️♥️♥️
Not very popular? What? That song was a huge hit when it first came out, it still is a huge hit, the audience reactions say it all when Metallica performs it live. I would say it's one of their biggest hits, it just needs the orchestra backing it up.
greatttttt
😍😍😍
Silverchair had some orchestral parts on Neon Ballroom cd, and a lot of parts on the Diorama cd.
Thanks for sharing, Mr. Aaron🤗
If you wanna see the best vocals from james you must watch:
Fade to black
One live 1989 seattle
The four horsemen live 1983
I love watching your videos🤘🤘🇳🇱
Thanks so much Mr. Philippe for sharing, I will definitely check it out too💕♥️💕
From what I know is that heavy metal is highly influenced by classical music!!! It’s just that the sound is blown out of proportion!
Thanks for sharing
May I suggest some Apocalyptica. They're a Finnish band, classically trained cellists. One song I'd suggest is I'm Not Jesus which features Corey Taylor (the lead singer of the metal band Slipknot) on vocals.
Thanks so much Mr. Brad, i will check it out too💕💕💕thanks for sharing💕
Ciao Aaliyah, sei bravissima e bellissima 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks so much Mr. Stefano💕

you got to check out design your universe live retrospect by epica now
Thank you very much for your recommendation Mr. Felipe💕
⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘❤❤❤❤
😊😊😊
Nice, but you should have done the original from the 90s.
Thanks so much for sharing, i will check it out too😍
The first concert in 1999 was much better! Specially this song that was a jewell ❤
Thanks for sharing
@@AaliyahCapili I recomend you to react to The Unforgiven Trilogy by Metallica 🖤
Check out- Impermanence by Architects (Live From Abbey Road) It has great orchestra and metal mixed together. You will not be disappointed.
Thanks so much for sharing
🤗😘💕

Thanks so much for sharing🌺
Architect song Animals also use a orchestra
Thanks so much for sharing Mr.Zachary, i will check it out too💕
I know choosing which one to react to can be difficult. The original from 1999 would have been the best, just saying. This one isn't bad though. Thanks for doing this. Cheers! How about some more Lorna Shore or Arch Enemy (anything but "handshake")?
Thanks so much for sharing Mr. Mike, i will check out Lorna Shore and Arch Enemy too😊
If you like this, try to listen Burgerkill An Elegy..
Thanks so much, i will check it out too💕
Ciaooo vai con i scorpions anche loro hanno suonato con orchestra kiss for italy❤👋🌹
Thanks so much, i will check it out too🌺
Wow! You really like the band now. If you want to see something vocally amazing check out Australian country singer songwriter Kasey Chambers cover of MnMs Lose Yourself! It'll Blow your mind!!!
Thanks so much foe sharing and for your recommendation
I also like their song nothing else matters with this Orchestra also ferry mutch better then the original i find
Thanks so much Mr. Gerry🤗
You should check out End of a Heartache by Killswitch Engage. You’ll definitely be surprised by the lead singer’s vocals, Howard Jones.

Thanks so much, I will check it out too♥️
Here's the thing: I love classical music, but what does it usually lack? Electric guitar. Damn right
🎶🎶🎶
The original performance is ten times better.
Thanks so much for sharing🌸

1999 with san Francisco orchestra is better
Hi are you Italian
Hello, i was born in the Philippines and left when i was 4 months old🥰
It's a miracle that the orchestra can keep up with Lars's sloppy tempo. He's horrible at speeding up off tempo randomly. He's always had a history of making the whole band play all their songs a lot faster live because he has no sense of tempo an doesn't use a click track. I doubt he'd be able to play properly to any click track in the first place.
Thanks for sharing🌺
Many people say the original S&M version of the song is better, but I am going to say I disagree. There's something about the rawness of this version that is so charming. I love all of it, plus Hetfield still sounds amazing too.
🥰
metallica can do this beacuse they write music, instead of... trash lol
🤗🌸🤗
Shirt is too old for you 😁🤷😬
😊
This is probably the only song (well, maybe Human) that wasn't butchered on that disgraceful album.
Thanks for the feedback🌺
Never stop a guitar solo. Rookie mistake. We'll give it a pass.
Very good reaction otherwise.
Thanks for the feedback Mr. Joseph
i am so sorry. although i liked the reaction i had to give a thumbs down. it was at 667 likes.
Oh sorry about that
@@AaliyahCapili well i gave a thumbs up after the comment so it is ok. cheers.
You get a thums down from me, because you react to the wrong version. It should be the original version from 1999. It's so much better, but that is just my opinion. 🙂
Thanks for sharing your feedback, much appreciated🌺
@@AaliyahCapili both versions are amazing, but there's something about this one that I prefer to the original. I think it's the rawness of it vs. the production of the original that really lends itself well. You can't go wrong with either version though.
REACT METALLICA "ONE" LIVE SEATTLE 89 PLISS 💔😭💔😭
