Yeah, I think I'll wait and see what FS2020 is going to be like before I decide to buy any new aircraft/scenery product. I've already had to (re)buy my PMDG products when I moved from FSX to P3D. XP11's A330 isn't bad at all. It gets better with each upgrade. That said, this one definitely looks a whole lot better than BlackBox. Enjoy the plane, guys (and gals).

I take your point but I bought this the as soon as it came out ( couldn’t then download it as the AES site crashed but hey ho) I went ahead as MS has confirmed there will be compatibility between its 64bit code currently used by P3D and MS2020. Going forward I will only buy the upcoming FB LFBO as I live and until very recently worked out of there. I will also get the A300/310 that I believe Flight1 are producing as it played a major part in my pro life; otherwise I agree your sentiment. No point spending good after bad.
Exactly my friend! Also, with the new FS2020 I will probably have to save a lot of money to buy a whole new PC, so it is pointless now spending money on FSX Add-ons
agreed i'm in flight simulator limbo right now until FS2020. i have xplane 11. haven't bought any planes cause i'm just gonna wait it out

It would be worth making use of the cockpit flows and checklists from the fancy EFB:
04:00 No need to turn ON the beacon during the flight preparation but it is required before starting the push.
07:00 The oxygen test requires the Interphone ON and the ACP INT/RAD switch set to INT.
10:49 No need to enter the intersections on the Airway page, just the list of the airways on the left side: the system will find the intersections if they exist.
12:02 Waypoints can be input directly on the discontinuity (left key).
17:22 After start: Ignition button should be placed on NORM.
18:00 TCAS and Transponder are 2 different systems.
The Interphone and ACP INT/RAD buttons do not function. Airway page is important with this aircraft. Tried it with just the airways and it picked intersections that made the flight plan cross itself and loop around. Better to just take the extra time and program the waypoints that are needed between the airways. Sometimes it gets them right.

3 updates in as many weeks. I appreciate the hot fixes, but you'd think it would be a little more stable off the chocks. I'd wait for a bit to see if they can squash more of the obvious bugs before buying.

Yes you just put the filename under coroute on the INIT page.

Wish we had more better aircraft development for X-plane 11. Seriously, p3D and fsx gets the aerosoft A330 pro, and we’re stuck with the jar design.
electro varun16 after using both the JAR A330 isn’t far off. It’s gotten much better through the updates. I’d say this one has the better VC though.
main reason I stopped simming in XP11, it has nothing on P3D when it comes to sim depth and addons

How does the A330 compare with the Aerosoft A320 or CRJ in terms of frames?
Is it a bug...the lights for the gear are not green or red?
Regardless of the features etc, the AS A330 handles horrendously. They really need to fix it!
I think the Nav and Strobe lights are poor on the a330 - look at Fslabs strobes and Nav. really disappointed + does anyone have any tips on making them brighter or anything?

Hello! I just purchased my copy of the A330, just yesterday and it's just full of little quirks! I've been able to iron some of them out. But I have a pretty serious issue going on, and I can't seem to fix it! My problem is that when I arm the autopilot, the first issue with that, is that it wants to over speed, and I had to mess around with that, managed to sort that out. But the more pressing issue is, that the autopilot-heading-hold is Broken! I've spent so much time trying to find a solution to fix this, and I'm at a total loss!! PLEASE! Does anyone have any sort of explanation for this? I would appreciate any help I can get! P/S I've even watched some tutorial's and nobody mentions this issue! THANKS!!

The FlyByWire system is terrible in this, and their A320. They don't seem to understand how C* control law works and how to implement it effectively using control theory. That is why they have so many problems with it.
The resolution of the displays looks so bad, what a joke
Thats this guy's settings, I have the aircraft and the displays have a similar resolution to that of the AS320 and FSL320...
At 23:30 They look pretty sharp to me. Are you watching at 1080P? The opening scene was a post production zoom if you're going off that it's not the true res.
ND and PFD may be, but the MCDU during Flight Plan programming looks just terrible
And they say X-Plane is going to die then FS2020 comes out...
I agree with the statement that X-Plane isn't going to die but this aircraft isn't coming for x plane as far as I know.
That's actually the biggest point I don't like about x-plane, there aren't enough good 3rd party aircraft.
I don't think it will die, there are some very good addons like the LES Saab, Hot Start TBM and the Air Foil Labs, my favourite rendition of the last twin I actually type rated in, the king air. But given the ms2020 is supposed to have a legacy cross over for p3d ( wish fsx was included so I could use the pmdg md11 ) I guess the xp11 is likely to be a more niche market . My plan for s to run xp11/12 and eventually switch from p3d to ms2020.
@@Isamu1013 I fly the toliss a319 and it looks and sounds infinitely better than this. They also announced the a321. I have to agree, but at the same sime I don't understand why they waste resources developing on ancient platforms like fsx and p3d, and not on the more moden x-plane.
It will die big time, over the years. Just wait and see.
