1:00 You actually want to push the switch in so you see the little dot next to the altitude. This enters “managed descent” mode or what Boeing users call VNAV. Anything on the FCU with a dot is managed. By pulling the switch you’ve actually entered “open descent” mode (no dot next to the altitude) which means you’re not using managed altitudes (VNAV). Think of it this way: by pulling an FCU dial towards you, you are taking control of that parameter, pulling it toward you. (Telling the plane “I’ll take this”) By pushing a dial into the FCU, you’re telling the plane to manage that parameter, pushing it toward the flight computer. (Telling the plane “you manage that”) Thinking of the Airbus computer as this third person is the cockpit you can have manage things is one of the best ways (in my opinion) to understand Airbus’ automation philosophy. For more, there is a good explainer document on Airbus automation in the readme folder of your Aerosoft professional files.
The guy may not be type rated on Airbus: thus the use of selected rather than managed mode. Same for the use of 2 APs for the ILS... We need to be lenient.
What's up with Aerosoft Airbuses causing low memory error in p3dv4 and windows OS. I have no problems with any PMDG or QW products. Just trying load A330 in DD KJFK and within 10 mins error pops up and eventually P3D crashes. ☹
hi. i recently installed this aircraft on my simulator. p3dv4.4 but after takeoff when i engage the autopilot it dosnt follow the route. does anybody know whats the problem whit my a330...? does it work fine with p3dv4.4...??
I use fselite daily but it’s a shame that you guys are creating content like this. This video isn’t very informational and could have been cut down into a 10 minute video and not into two parts, yes from a business point of view milking views will make you money but your sacrificing quality for quantity. I hope in the next video you guys focus more on informing people on a product instead of giving us a cold and dark set up video with long dragging segments of the video.
Hi Syrphic. Some people prefer the longer segments so it's hard to please both schools of thought on that. This was done in two parts because the beta we were given for part 1 was not complete. The ILS approach was very broken, wheels would not spin, fuel didn't burn, among other issues. As stated in the video we waited for the public release and v1002 to properly show the final phase of flight. Just didn't feel it was fair to do a first look using a version much less complete than the public release version. There is also a full review coming in the future but that requires more time spent with the aircraft. This was more of a showcase video of normal flight. -Patrick

Trivia: Open descent is always idle thrust
nice!

How can you down the gear and there is no flaps you should make flaps 2 after that you can down the gear
:)

Does it works with FSX ?
no
Turn cloud shadows off.
nice slide show, end of year, nvm this is FSX.
Long landing
Why is he descending in op des mode ? makes no sense cause he´s talking about managed des mode there

He did alright for an armchair jockey. have to lower the scrutiny at some point.

Try reinstalling it. I had that too and for others reasons i reinstalled p3d (so a330 too) and i don't have this anymore

Hamid Rabet minimum is P3D v4.5 Hotfix 2
@@almeronmsfs how to downlod please tell me you have link?
Raheem Km - www.prepar3d.com
I would have to see a short video to see what's going wrong. Sometimes you can fix that by going to the MCDU "DIR" page and select the next way point.
Needs a fix for that dreadful wing animation, looks dead while in-flight except for some peturbations in turbulence and on ground.
I think it’s better to report it to Aerosoft instead here 😏
@@Raymondvanderploeg already done, but instead of Listening, they just shut down the thread
Swapnil Sirdeshpande o not good
the fact that one can go below green dot speed, without having to lower the flaps... don't buy it if you are looking for realism..
How to downlod this game?
This is pay ?
Raheem Km yesn’t
This isn't a game
@@tenvelli thanks after 1year reply to me
Recommend not buying this for many reasons
138kt and flaps 10 you should be at stall situation in a real aircraft...
The aircraft was never at 138 knots flaps 10. The MCP was set to 138 but still traveling at 150-160 knots at the time flaps 2 was deployed.

Well, he did specify it's a first look. Not a review.
