good video ive run 3 seperate meter meters for many years. like being able to monitor my eqt at all times.i put green leds in mine and looks cool.one thing for sure quility control sucks and getting worse in 2021 so make sure to test it and use it as soon as you get it. ive made the mistake of buying something and not useing it for weeks or even monthd and the radio/meter/eqt had issues and warrinty was out so my loss.
I just purchased this meter from a cb shop, after previously watching this video. I do my own testing and tuning and custom work privately. I think any meter out there can have a small flaw in it, in my humble opinion. whether your just getting into the cb radio hobby or have been involved in it for many years as I have, you always have to start somewhere. I buy all types of meters, tinker with them, then give my own personal review. good video cb radio mag
if you have a junk radio laying around just grab the knobs from it, i think the knobs from a 2950 works well. also, can an external speaker for the headphone jack be applied for live talkback or what does it do? if it is talkback can you demonstrate it with a 2950 radio?
Very good review. Reminds me of the other junky meters I don't like: Dosy. Dosy is pure crap. I'd rather have a Radio Shack meter. The RS maybe crap but at least I can get service and support locally. I have a Dosy TR-1000 and it sure looks nice, but its CRAP, just like all Dosy's. Sorry for the bad words but I sees them as I call em. 73 de Dino N0RJP
Does it need 12v for peak? One I have just aquired must be a older one. Pep and power are on center switch. Pep on left avg on right.

Any comments on these modulation meters. Seem accurate or?

I think I'll pass on this meter and pick up something else. Appreciate the review and your honesty.
welchwidgetman, what didn't you like about this meter?
How damped is the Modulation meter? Is it reading peaks or RMS or average? It would be cool to do that test with a scope sitting next to it.
Great review. Thanks for your time.
Nice review man
Dossy meter work better that junk.
Crazy glue
I know most techs down these meters but for what i do it works fine. I dont like Bird meters. They dont swing like a Dosy or a PDC.
I like the single window "power Scanner"
meter says AVG you say RMS. root mean square and average are two different things
