Great video! On my 2015 Diavel, the upper front-most bolt on the cover is 3mm hex head, the other three are 4mm (one high in the center, one low to the right, and one beneath and to the left -- as shown in TAB's pic at 4:20). The two bolts that hold the battery retaining cover in place are 4mm (shown at 5:04). The battery top bolts remove easily with a 10mm socket. I removed and reattached the positive lead last because it's easier to work on the pos leads with the battery slid into its slot. On my bike, there are no metal contacts inside the battery slot to ground against so working on the positive terminal last should be safe.

Excellent video! I was able to remove the side cover confidently since I knew what to expect. I did have a rather difficult time reinstalling the battery because the left edge of the rubber battery tray was folded down, and the battery was on top of that edge. I already ordered a used tray on eBay. I have an important question... where can I purchas a Battery Tender Connector like yours? It has the socket just like on a Jumper Battery, which would be very handy. Does it come with the adapter cable to connect the Jumper Battery directly to that socket?
Glad it helped! Yeah, you can get those leads also on eBay. Search for an optimate connector lead. You can also get a compatible connector for a jumper battery. Just get careful of the load as they're designed for trickle charging. 👍🏻
Hi, great video. I have one question, I have an alarm on the bike, will it go off if I’m replacing the battery?
Depends if it's a battery backed alarm or not. Might sound on reconnection too, but you should be able to turn it off with the fob.
Hi mate just bought one of these 2015..is it always sluggish in the starting the engine or do I need a new battery..

Very much so! It's just a thing with these I think. The first cold crank always seems to take quite a few turns of the engine... I used a Motobat MBT12B4

Would you take your ducati diaval to a mean dealer for a service or could you do it yourself, and if so how do you change the service indicator light of thankyou I ride a ducati diaval s
For light service work, such as an oil change etc I would do this myself. But for anything more technical or a proper service / valve clearance I'd leave this to the pros. You also get the history this way. The only way to reset the service light is using a device which can talk to the OBD.... AFAIK.

I have the exact same bike, same colour. Same year, about to change my battery for the first time 48k km. Mine still cracks well.

It's a 'Motobatt'. Great price and seems to hold charge well 👍🏻
