Great video. I picked up a 23 Diavel black and steel edition and right from the dealership the chain wasnt tight enough and boy did i get slap when id let off the throttle. You pay premium price and get subpar service lol.
I had to adjust the chain at least 2 times a year .and That’s with doing proper cleaning and lubing.my Streetfighter (v4) has 10 000km and still haven’t touched the chain once . I would’ve expected the latter
Are you sure you are measuring right? maybe it's just the angle of the vid, but the tape should be up against the top inside of the viewing aperture? not behind it - apologies if it is. Great vid anyway and found it dead useful.
Hey Cavan , it does minimize the chain slap at lower speeds, but the juddering in town is still present . I’ve always felt that this bike hates low in town speeds . like It wants to run and not walk .
@@twowheeledwarrior yeah, tell me about it. :( CBD is not Diavel friendly. Another 'symptom' which I can't explain is when I change gears up or down, it's the 'coughing' I feel immediately after I change the gear and I open the throttle up gently, it does NOT like that. It's like it's saying to me, 'dude, if you're changing gear, FFS, commit!', but I'm only changing the gear to give me some fuel efficiency. Does that make sense? It's actually quite hard to explain.
My two cents. Japanese bikes are very forgiving around town. European bikes not so much. First or second. Third is going to lug. I haven't really ridden the diavel in traffic but my monster or Superduke I don't use anything but first or second
I do not , unfortunately. It’s been a few years since I bought that c - span.I remember having to go to the dealer to get the proper one . I tried other venues, but nothing seemed very confidence inspiring.

@@twowheeledwarrior yeah my bike had maybe 1km on it when I had chain slap. Right off the showroom floor.

I'm thinking about getting a diavel in the spring of 2022, out 2011-13 chain drive, the belt on the 2014, and cost $700
Very helpful!! Thx broo
Thank you for the info. 👌
usefull . thank you buddy
Hi TWW, would this fix any juddering on the low gears while travelling at low speeds such as going through a CBD of a city?

Hi thanks for the video, do know what the size is of that c-spanner ?

how much is a replacement chain, and must you an OEM chain?
I’ve seen chain and sprocket kits for just under $400 . Not sure how much for just the chain. I’d guess around $200 ?
$150 for the C spanner ? 😯
Nice. Thank you
