If you have a big bed and sleep alone, consider placing a small basket on the bed for your nighttime essentials. Mine is 8x12 and holds everything I need, including my book. It fits in the corner when I'm sleeping and is so easy to move when l make the bed. 💖🌞🌵😷

This build looks so adorable and cozy, i love it. If she wasn't a nurse, I'd be wondering about some type of bathroom but hospitals have facilities for their employees so thos was a very smart build. God bless you and I pray you continue to enjoy your adorable home and the safety that you've had. Great job!!!

Even when sleeping, I wake up to use the bathroom a couple of times a night, and I think it would be inconvenient to have to walk across the parking lot to use the hospital’s restroom. And a bucket in the van is kinda gross. I’d prefer a cassette toilet or compost toilet in the van.

Thank you! Luckily I'm blessed with a nurse bladder and I'm used to holding it for 12 hours! 😅 This set up works for me but having a toilet would be convenient for most people! It just came down to the fact that I didn't want to clean it! I do have something in case of emergencies but thankfully have never needed it!

You can add a shelf under the cabinet at the foot of your bed to hold things. One that folds up/down.

It's funny, for probably about a decade, when I heard of Visiting Nurses, I thought they did what you did. Just thought that was a cool way to live. Then learned what a real visiting nurse does. Essential, but where's the vacation lifestyle in that? Now you visit and nurse. A lot cooler. Enjoy the freedom. Just got a 26 foot X-haul that'll be something between a Florida hurricane escape vehicle and a football tail gate/excursion conversion pad (like my vehicle, retired).

My mother in law is a nurse and she said she got her license to be a National one so she didn’t have to get a license for each state that way it covers all places because her husband was in the military as well. I seen a small box/basket from hobby lobby that is a light wood not to heavy and you can use command hooks to hang it on the back doors to keep your phone and water bottle and it was grey in color so it would look cute with current decorations wished I could send you a picture

Thank you for the idea, that could definitely work! I would love a national license, but I'm not sure that extends to everyone! Maybe because her husband was in the military? I currently have to get a license in every state unfortunately!

That's right, hospitals have locker rooms for their staff which mostly include showers and toilets. I bet she has a pee funnel for women if not you know she's got a regular pee funnel, she works at hospitals and they have the disposable ones for sure. Such a great build and it seems so peaceful, good for her!!!

I have a gym membership and I can use the showers at the hospital! I decided against a toilet because with every option I still had to clean it and that's not for me lol! I use lots of public restrooms and do have a backup in case of emergencies that thankfully I have not had to use! I'm blessed with a nurse bladder so this set up works for me! 😊

Hello young lady....great idea traveling/RN setup. I've been thinking about this...with a base at or around SCarolina//Simpsonville, SC.
Take jobs...travel...or not...get paid by contract gets one 30% more...then buy good self insurance. What's not to like?
Send me a note....love to meet you.

People gotta stop thinking she enjoys and/or wants to live like this, no.. she does not. As she said, she's a travelling nurse and so, this is a compromise, not a first option, neither is it the best option.
Edit: I don't care about you people... notifications off. I'm right and that's just how it is. Stop trying to excuse things and be delusional.
    Good luck.

I do love it! I could easily rent an apartment or room in each location but I chose the van because it allows me to be flexible and travel on my off days! Definitely a choice! Lots of nurses choose the more traditional housing but it works for me!
