ICJ prosecutor should resign for supporting Hammas, a terrorist organisation over a legitimate sovereign state.
I just recently watched the Eichmann trials. I'm not a lawyer, but from what I understand about international law, the ICC would have had a hard time to obtain an arrest warrant for Eichmann, based on the evidence that was presented during the trial, at least as can be seen from the videos.
I personally believe that Eichmann well deserved to be executed for what I believe are horrible crimes.
Am I standing with ISRAEL? I believe so, at least on this decision. I am German. Am I standing with Germany? I believe so. If I was a traitor because I don't protect a criminal, then treason is an obligation for every decent human being, German or not.
Nazi Germany had a concept of patriotism that overrode everything else, human decency, family ties just as well as the recognition of their concept of Jews as human beings.
Both the Nuremberg trials as well as the one in Jerusalem were based on transcendent law, not the law of the land that was in effect for the criminals who have been judged for their atrocities. This law, the law of human decency, supercedes sovereignty. It has to, otherwise it would mean nothing.
Nazis did not all want to kill all Jews. But those who knew about and maybe even supported it, accepted the Holocaust as a "necessary evil", a "lesser evil" or maybe just something they cannot prevent. They stood with Germany no matter what. Some because they believe they stand with prospective victors, some because they stood where they did not have to move - convenience and some because they believed that Germany has some intrinsic superior value.
If you stand with ISRAEL no matter what, how are you different in regards to loyalty when it conflicts with core human values, such as justice, compassion, or equality? I mean that as a question seeking an answer, not as an accusation. I do not see the difference, but I would like to understand why you obviously and strongly believe there is one. I cannot find it.
I stand with Germany despite that being an unenjoyable position. Nobody likes to take responsibility for crimes committed by others. But since I benefit from all the treats that come with a citizenship of a rich and prosperous country, I just have to take responsibility for the price in blood that these treats demanded from others. It's only fair. I will not stand with Germany if its government and/or it's people deviate too much with my core values.
As a German, I have no standing to critizise Israel. As human being however, I have every right to criticize a crime. The ICC as legal successor of the Nuremberg trials has not only the right but also the obligation to prosecute criminals and crimes.
The fact that Israel is not a signatory to the ICC is an obscenity, not a valid defence for war crimes.
Are these really war crimes? Can the bombardment of Gaza be called a war? When enemies are children, can this be a war? I am deeply ashamed for what Nazi Germany did. If I had the capacity to be ashamed for Israel, I would be, for the very same reasons.

Ordering Israel to stop its fighting the attempts to destroy it is just plain stupid. What kind of drugs are these judges taking?
