- Amidst the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the International Criminal Court (ICC) at the Hague has applied for arrest warrants for key members of the Israeli and Hamas leadership.
The move, which also targets Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has divided many countries along lines defined by their support for Israel - whose leadership has urged what it called “nations of the civilized world” to oppose the request for the arrest warrants.
Riz Khan speaks to Alan Dershowitz to find out his opinion on the ICC arrest warrants and for his prediction on the outcome of the Donald Trump trial.

It may be okay for Israel to investigate but this lawyer says there won't be a trial. Israel nay be capable but not willing to have a trial, and why wait until a million or more are dead before a trial can be had. It matters that Israel may be a democracy for Jews and a non-democracy for Palestinians, two unequal classes of people. If an Israel court was going to correct that, it would have acted long ago.

Great interview. Thank you. I believe we from former Yugoslavia should have been able to go after war criminals ourselves. But the historic momentum was against us. In order to deal with injustice, war crime a country needs to face it on its own.

He is correct: ICC has no jurisdiction until recourse is made to the national laws and courts of the countries involved. The prosecutor immediately assumed jurisdiction without as yet giving israel or hamas a right to present their side. Israel's judiciary is one of the best and most stable in the world. So the application for arrest warrants by the ICC prosecutor is premature

It's illogical to thinking that's ICC Court can't trial those from countries that's not signatory to the Rome statute!!! Any Court with universal declaration of jurisdiction world wide can trial any case or crimes that's occurred any part of this world. Therefore, ICC has mandatory declaration wits jurisdiction your signatory to it or not. Therefore, ICC indictment needs expanded to including security minister distribution of arms to settlers militia inside Palestine territory, war cabinet ministers, army commander IDF commanders in fields and air force Commander and its pilots committing genocide in Gaza. Karim Khan faces plenty of obstacles in his pursuit of arrest warrants for Gallant and Netanyahu. There must be a body or an institution and not a pre-trial chamber only within the ICC to judge clearly and stickly before a prosecutor can be accepted to seek for an arrest warrant. Also they should come up with s strong punishment and sanction if the prosecutor fabricated his story and found that his act is base on hatred. Therefore, The Criminal Court's mission should be first strictly judge this criminals in the International Criminal Court, led by Karim Asad Ahmad Khan and his cohort. Should they fail to produce any basis of evidence collected and examined by their Office against Israel, they should be immediately sentenced to life in prison. PERIOD.
