That's strange--I posted this when I first bought the book 6 years ago. There were links to the videos in the book itself. Maybe the videos were just made public recently.
Thanks! Your humor is great and I had trouble understanding what was ment by degree when I read through the book. So please keep making these, they are fun and helpful to watch
Wow blast from the past, I remember you did this demonstration years ago. When I have not sketched in a couple of days Or don’t know what to sketch break out the free hand Ellipse exercise.
Ok so I don't draw and just stumbled upon this, but it's somehow so interesting that I'd watch page 001 to 999 without skipping if there was a playlist with 'em. I have no idea what an ellipsis in perspective looks like but I'm dying to know now.
thats the neat part about ellipses the keep being ellipses lol a circle however becomes an ellipse. and when you rotate a circle in perspective the ellipse stays the same *mindblow*
I dont know if you intend on doing more instructional videos about your books but I would really appreciate a quick video about the content of the p57. I dont know where to get the "correct" ellipse from. Have a great day
I tried using tracing paper for this exercise, it's faster to fold and easier to see through. The friction isn't the best but it works :). Can't wait to get further.
Really I have not seen a average time, but in the past when I was teaching in person everyone in the drawing class would have at least the ability to recognize when the ellipses were wrong and know how to fix them by the end of the 14-week class, even if they could not draw great ones by hand just yet. Sketching them loose and using ellipse guides to tighten them is the most efficient way of working.
Scott, I have purchased both books "How to Draw" and "How to Render" but a technical question I have is what type of paper is used for the overlays? I like to use a mix of ink style instruments such as fountain pens, Radiograph pens, and Copic Fineliners. Is there a type of paper that can be used for an overlay that will handle those paper mediums?
Mr.robertson i was wondering if you could show us a bit about your 3d modeling approach in modo? and do you usually do subd and plygon modeling or parametric modeling

Hello Scott, I need some help with your texture bombing tut on youtube ua-cam.com/video/xmDVjezw7ns/v-deo.html Modo want allow me to use projection types and mirror, Those options are unavailable when using the texture replicator but when the texture replicator is unselected all of those options returns as far as the projection type option and mirror option. I just can't get the texture to mirror with texture replicator. I want to also use planar projection but I can't with texture replicators. Any suggestions I really would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
Great idea about being aware of your arm being in line with the minor axis. The book is absolutely fantastic!
why is this comment 6 years old if the video release 20.07.20
Cursed comment

Thanks for the new posts Scott! You've been an inspiration for years.
Excellent tips Scott, I just got your book!

Loved the training exercise to draw ellipses with constraints. Thank you.

I place my pinky down on the paper as an extra steady support...try it, might help a little.
More training videos please. :-)

How many years does it actually take on average to become proficient in drawing more-or-less clean ellipses? Or how many tens/hundreds of A4 pages?

The achilles heel, freehand ellipses. Again a master of your trade, I wish I could get a freehand ellipse to 50% your accuracy 😂
Please release your books on Kindle.
Not possible. The book is interactive. An amazing book. You need a smartphone/tablet with it if you want to enjoy the recorded videos hided inside
