I just ordered a pb100. I've been wanting a Power probe for awhile. The Power Probe brand is very expensive. This Probe does the same thing for a lot less money. I've been using a very nice craftsman DMM and test light for years. I look forward to adding this to my diagnostic tools. I do a lot of electric work on cars, adding auxiliary batteries, Inverters, etc. This will greatly assist me in finding power and ground sources.

I got one myself and I’ve used it to move the chair on my truck, I found out I had problem with my harness I thought it was the motors themselves but no, none, all good, I also agree with the longer extension tip idea, it was difficult to reach under the seat, I personally would’ve like a bit more of a directional light, good product overall

If I'm not mistaken you can use the lead off your multimeter in place of the probe, this can help with tight places, I don't have one I only need my multimeter, hope that helps?

Hey, thank you for the video! I would find it handy to use an extra feet of cable between my probe and test point. Just wondering if a regular multimeter needle would fit this device?

Hi Denis, seems like Ancel knew their customers which is why they included the extra long cords. I highly doubt that any multimeter need would fit. The needle is attached to a plastic housing that is then plugged into the probe.

Do you know if the power switches are user replaceable? I know Autel has a similar device with user replaceable power switch. Their units are a little more expensive.

Extra long wire is for big vehicles like trucks with trailers. Someone may need to test trailer lights or something like that.

How about if you press the power button then touch ground? Will it blow up? reset circuit breaker?
How about testing a headlamp where you ground one term then touch the other with the probe then pressing the + button after you touched the term?
Very long video yet many features unanswered

According to manufacturer: Better to press power button first then apply probe. This way arcing happens at probe and not switch, which will eventually burn out, which leads me to another question...

Always be careful when energizing near a battery, hydrogen can explode.

  • @robertingraham8413

Why are you providing a spark to that bulb on the cover to the battery. That does not have a breaker and is not going to say what is that dummy doing. It's going to blow and take your face off. Get away from that battery.
