It's a small feature, but at the same time, the AC testing ability further streamlines and improves my efficacy. Hopefully it'll prove invaluable in the long run. Thanks for stopping by Mr Mule! Always a pleasure! Zip~
Thank you for this very good video. I use an Ancel PB 100 as well and really love it. Do not want to miss it anymore. Best greetings from Bavaria/Germany
I am super impressed with all it can do. Now we'll see how long it lasts me. In the case of the Power Probes, I've had the PP2 since 2005 and the other one for at least 8 years. Hopefully this one will last at long or longer. Cheers Ken! Zip~
Cool I’m gonna have to get me one to put in my toolbox now I had the other two that you’ve got as well and I’ve always looked for something like that but now you brought fourth the really answer. It will come handy and my job as well.
There's a discount code for it in the first pinned comment Able. It certainly is a much more economical way to go and we'll see how long it lasts. Cheers! Zip~
Yes it does John!! Super stoked to add it to the arsenal of troubleshooting equipment. Don't get me wrong, the Power Probe's are definitely sticking around, but that Ancel just tipped the scale in its favor with the Diode and A/C capabilities. Cheers Buddy! Zip~
I agree!! The only problem now is do I keep it in the shop and hope I remember to grab it when going on a house call or do I order a second one lol. Conundrums suck! lol. Cheers! Zip~
Good Video!! I've been looking at a variety of these since I fried my VOM looking for parasitic issues on the van. It blew the fuses when testing amps, replaced them but now the volt scale is off... I'm looking at a clamp on AC/DC VOM as well. This seems like a good bit of kit, very useful. Looking forward the stator job
Although I do love my PP's and Fluke meters, having to drag out a number of different testing tools is a bit of a pain. This does have its limits, but for the most part, it will handle anything these Garden Tractors have to throw at it. I am most impressed with the Diode and AC modes that the PP's are lacking. Well, not lacking on the Diode tests, but it doesn't give the actual resistance in a physical number to my knowledge. I may have to check and verify that, but definitely no AC capabilities. If you get one Arch, get one now while I've got the Ancel team offering a discount. It's in the description and first pinned comment. Takes it down to a little over $70. Cheers! And stay tuned......I've going to be modifying a 60" Simplicity Legacy blade to my Sunstar's as well as a snow cab later on in the Fall. Zip!
It's actually kinda cool how they work. The basic 12V charging systems on some engines are limited in their ability to keep up with accessories like electric clutches, Incandescent lights or as a viable power source to operate something like a tow behind electric fertilizer sprayer. By generating AC voltage then Rectifying and Regulating it, you're able to take advantage of higher Amperage demands from a more stable charging system. I hope this helps. Cheers! Zip~
15 minutes into the video you stated center pin bottom wire isn't showing anything. Center pin of the regulator is battery connection you won't see dc voltage if meter is set to ac bottom pin will be second stater wire. You should see switched battery voltage to the center pin voltage should go up if engine is running since your getting ac voltage I'd say there's no short to ground and regulator is probably bad
Thanks for the sub! And excellent question! One which will be answered very soon. I just picked the KYZEE KM 50 up and will be doing a video on it in a couple of weeks. So perfect timing on your part and mine. Zip~

Agreed,, Typically a Diode will give a .5volt drop is working properly and it shows that!
Thanks again!
I didn’t know any tractors had AC from the stator. Why? How should I have known this?

Put a post it note from 3M on that for me please. I've had the pedal to the metal for a bit.

Ah, so the two outer wires are the input. Gotcha! I'll recheck it. Thanks Willy! Appreciate ya my Friend! Zip~
How would the KZYEE KM50 Vehicle Super Probe compare to the Ancel PB100? Thanks! I subscribed.
