    About the Author:
    Francisco Javier Esteva, MD, Ph.D., is a board-certified medical oncologist focusing on breast cancer research and treatment. He is the Chief of the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. He also holds the position of Director of Breast Medical Oncology for the Western Region at the Northwell Health Cancer Institute. Dr. Esteva is Professor of Medicine at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Prior to to his current positions, Dr. Esteva was a Professor of Medicine at NYU School of Medicine and at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He has contributed to the development of targeted therapy and immunotherapy of cancer. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and an elected member of the American Society of Clinical Investigation.
