- Is another doctors strike making you fed up?
Junior doctors in England are set to go on strike for five days next month from 27th June to 2nd July.
That means it will take place during the general election campaign.
The strike's over an ongoing pay dispute, but ministers have called it a cynical move to strike during a general election campaign.

Pay the doctors, they wasted 100 Billion in 4 yrs and now cant pay 2 billion a yer for the restoration of doctors wages. Its not a pay rise, its a pay restoration from inflation.
What makes me sick is that we are now a much poorer country than we used to be & no one talks about it.
Blame doctor not goverment how much was the payrise for mp's
So if you are a critical member...you have no rights?? Lol what a joke. Let's see how many more doctors leave when you force them to work for pennies.
NHS: too many chiefs and not enough doctors, nurses, aids etc. The NHS needs a complete overhaul and bringing into the 21st century. Have more doctors, nurse practitioners and nurses and create a tiered system of availability so neither the emergency department or the GP office is overwhelmed.
Honestly this Angela woman is just a Tory mouth piece
How about, Does the doctors strike show the government doesn't care? Or Does the doctors strike make you sick of the government not paying doctors properly? Or Does the doctors strike show this government wants quality care for cheap?
Nurses have pensions?? Yes but nothing like yours JV for doing very little.
Any the tories have been doing the l most tories are really good at not telling the truth!
Brexit mess
Patient needs must come first.
Why does Jeremy not question people who spout "facts"? No nurse that only manages 6 people (likely a team leader) is earning 65k now never mind 20 years ago. 65k is a current band 8b/c. A team leader or sister is a band 7 that earns a maximum of 47-50 k now in 2024 and wouldn't have earned anywhere near this in the past
Jeremy Vine and this programme are just a nonsense.
The doctors knew what they was getting into when they studied to be a doctor what did they expect now you have the cheek to moan about pay don't be a doctor then
Yes they expected a damn site better then what they are getting!!
Take money off bloody footballers, idiots kicking round a ball, then we can pay the people who save lives what they are worth!!
Footballers waste off time and energy!! The money they get is shameful!!
When they applied to pay was 1/3rd higher, so actually they DIDNT know what they were getting into
No. The Tories are making us sick. Solidarity with the strikers. Free Palestine 🇵🇸
What's that got to do with doctors strikes?!
@@barneyrubble8590 are you illiterate? Read it again.
@@kat2023. I am perfectly literate , what has Palestine got to do with the subject ffs
@barneyrubble8590 I can comment what the hell I like, if you don't like it, scroll on.
Pop over , speak your mind and see if you’re accepted 👍
I am tired of people wanting the NHS to act like a business. I don't want people viewing the NHS as an opportunity to make money!
That is not how you measure the effectiveness of health care
It's not acting like a business, it's paying staff adequately, as doctors they should be making a decent salary not working themselves to death for slave wages.
Doctors aren’t asking the NHS to make profits, they are asking for fair pay
Inflation 0 🤭🤭😝😝😝😝😝😝😎
35% is totally unmanageable and ridiculous. Nobody else gets infaltion matching pay rises
Why shouldn't inflation matching pay rises be normal for everyone?
MPs do...
@@markwelch3564 it should but its not. I fully support such action across the board including a minimum wage lock to inflation but I don't support it for specific sectors paid for by the taxpayer while those creating the wealth that pays for it get anything less. The reality is that if we take that kind of action we will see more inflation and enter an inflationary cycle. That is however IMO the only way to rebalance the system properly and bring goverment debt under control as it would rapidly devalue. It would be extremely hard to manage.
@@nicholaswarrington6688 across the board for everyone or not at all. That's the way I see it.
@@ricardosmythe2548 pay rises are only inflationary if they rise above inflation - if they match, they're inflation-neutral
