  • A nursing union has warned that hospital patients are 'dying in corridors' and that our 'once world-leading services are treating people in car parks and store cupboards'.
The Royal College of Nursing will declare it a national emergency at the start of their annual conference later today, which they say is a chance to raise the alarm.

Listen to the nurses! The broken Social care system, from austerity, has contributed to this!

Labour started the NHS under the Beverage model in 1948 and it was revolutionary. The tories have been after it ever since, privatising it through stealth. They don't care about a health service that is financially accessible to everyone, they would be happy if the poorest in society just crawled off and died. It amazes me that elderly people vote for them when they are the ones accessing the NHS the most. The NHS is abused yes but mostly by desperate people that wind up in A+E because they cannot see a GP. This government were supposed to raise the NHS wage on the 1st April in line with minimum wage increase, have they? No. Now after our 2% payrise the lower bands are on minimum wage. Good staff leave because they are neglecting their patients through no fault of their own and it affects them mentally because it goes against everything they stand for as nurses. The way the government has treated NHS staff since Covid is disgusting.

FYI Mike, as an NHS Nurse for 20 years, hospital managers DO NOT listen to the Doctors and Nurses or patients for that matter.

Very true, many patients with no money to their name have been revolving doors in A&E dept. Just for clarity , no one gets a diagnosis in a corridor

My mum was just in hospital for 10 days the guy is a fool theres just not one trolly or beds like he's trying to imply they reach from A&E to the other sid of the hospital witch is a long way because its a big hospital in a corridor for 3 days or more people dieing with no privy . The guy doesn't have a clue he needs to spend a day at a busy hospital because the way he talks he been no where near a hospital he probably goes private . And jeremy vile doesn't have empathy say can't look after all of them ok saying when you have money and saying closing all A&E WTF it can't be costing as much for NHS because most of the dentist have gone private where that money going to now. Am surprised what the former nurse said it should be private most people in this country don't have the money to go private so what do they do.

Hope you don't tan yourself to much either, or drink alcohol, or speed then?
All these things can end your life, and all should be treated equally!!
Especially the sun worship, and drinking alcohol!

Well my granddaughter was in hospital last week where she was left in the ward corridor facing the men’s ward while a man was sat on his bed in front of her pleasuring himself right in her face the nurses did nothing but walk past . She should not have had to be subjected to to that. Here’s a plan charge every adult £1 a day for food and pump that money into the nhs. We do pay via our pay pack

Yes, they see it first hand, but all you get from the Government, is the words 'record funding' funding fine, but you need the doctors and nurses to carry out their day to day work.
