Nature Aquarium Aquascape Update - The ADA Way at Aquarium Gardens

This 60cm Nature Aquarium Aquascape is featured at the entrance to our Aquascaping showroom.
At the time of filming this scape is just 4 weeks old.
Plant growth has been fast and strong, with minimal algae issues. Testament to planting heavily from the start, frequent water changes and the use of ADA soils, additives and fertlizers.
When using ADA Amazonia soil it comes recommended to use the ADA fertlizer system as well. ADA Amazonia is a very nutrient rich soil containing lots of nitrogen, it is therefore important to follow the ADA Fertlization routine (all ADA products used listed below).

Such a sweet and fresh scape. Glossostigma is so hard. I did a reboot of my scape with new and fresh Glossostigma. All you did, I did. So see what happens. I started Scaping in June last year. Never got a good carpet in my 60P from ADA. Followed ADA 100% in startup and rules. Just seeing this video I don't understand why it never worked. Neither with Montecarlo. So I'm back to Glossostigma and a complete, fresh restart. I keep my fingers crossed, now. 🤞😅

Hello hey i see most of your tanks you are using twinstar sterilizers but for this tank does not have it. Is there any difference on algae? Does this tank havr any algae?

Hi Dave, in this setup what is the most noticeable thing happened on this tank compared to other setups you did? How is the algae growth compared to other substrate system?

Hi Joel, Most noticeable thing was no algae. Plant density and water changes also contribute to this. Plant growth was rapid, the Glosso carpet loves the Amazonia soil and power sand!

Nice video Dave and a beautiful scape to boot. It's really handy to know the details of the aquascapes like fertilizers, lights etc but also the names of the plants and how they look grown in. That always feels like a mine field to me, need to pool all videos of this kind in order to have clearer vision on what to create and where to position them.

Thanks Robert. Probably the most hassle free tank we've had, but comes with a price. All our other aquascapes use Tropica/Prodibio soil and TNC plant food which works great :)
