I have a question for you:
What is the maximum load capacity for the Pursuit ?
Because recently, i read an article from cycleworld about the weight limitations of the bike..
Here i post a part of that review:
"...So we loaded onto the bike, and adjusted the suspension to rider with passenger, full luggage, and plus-two “Fine Tuning,” which added the maximum preload for an indicated 450 pounds. Note that while this covers the combined weights of my girlfriend and I, that puts Indian’s largest rider and passenger at 200 pounds each with 50 pounds for luggage and no further adjustability. That is not a wide range, and American touring riders are not known for being small people.
When asked about this, Gabe Mezzenga, Indian’s product manager for Challenger and Pursuit, said that with 450 pounds of additional load, the Pursuit is at its maximum gross vehicle weight rating and that’s all the rear shock can handle. Yet the Challenger, with a shock that hasn’t been pre-adjusted for the weight of the top trunk, can add adequate preload for 500 pounds before reaching the extent of its shock’s capability. Heavier-duty rear suspension seems like it should have been an obvious choice, especially when you’re looking at the accessory unit, which adds $1,000 if purchased independently.."
The numbers aren't not good for a big touring bike...me & wife weight more plus our luggages...is problem!
Yea, ummm, I don't know... but you're not wrong... I can say that the gross vehicle weight is about the same with the Big tour bikes.. Harley-Davidson, Honda and Indian Motorcycle.. but maybe the electric pre load doesn't give as much as the manual one? It's very interesting tho
Any news about the 112ci or 122ci version of the Poweplus engine for the 2025 ?
I read about the watercooled new models for Cheiftain & Roadmaster..
But news are not cleared..
Others claim Indian Motorcycles is working on a 122ci V-Twin Engine for 2025
As a new 122 aircooled version of Thunderstike engine called Colt, to beat the Milwaukee Eight 121ci.
But also the Challenger & Pursuit will have that motor ?
Only from you we can have news about Indian motorcycles.
The way I understood it . Was there isngoing to be the powerplus coming out in 112 and also the Thunderstroke motor coming out in a 122... and also yes the powerplus in the chieftain and Roadmaster... Now I only have read the things leaked I don't have any real information
