Ford was killing it in the early 2000s with truck sales! They had an awesome selection, very competitive pricing, and solid engineering. I sure miss those days. I can still remember when everyone in my family wanted SportTrac when they first came out. My uncle bought a new 2004, and that truck finally bit the dust after 360k+ hard miles just a few years ago. The motor and transmission were still running very strong, but unfortunately the all-original front suspension just wasn't worth rebuilding for the condition the truck was in.
He’s done it many times before going all the back to when they started. However it still really isn’t that common is it which is why it’s interesting 😆
My brother had a 02 Sport Trac when it was new. He traded in his 2000 2 door Explorer Sport for it after all the recalls that car had. The Sport Trac was a pretty nifty car. He had it probably until 2018 when the engine starting having issues at around 280k.
I have a white 2001 Ford F-150 XLT SuperCrew. The manufacture sticker was dated August 2001 so it was probably one of the last ones from the 2001 model 😊 lol
I had noticed the decline in Sport Tracs on the road over the past years but lately I have been seeing them quite a bit here in Southern Nevada. I'm guessing the high costs of brand new vehicles may be encouraging people to keep their old vehicles running. I have a an 05 similar to Munnday86's ST. I definitely intend to keep mine running as long as possible.

You should have held on to it if the engine and tranny were strong! You could have fixed up all the other things gradually
Interesting to see John himself demonstrating the vehicles
Lol I thought so too lol

@@JamesK7911 If you watch the 2006 Dodge Charger Police Cruiser road test video, he’s shown getting pulled over while speeding in a Civic at the end.
The first generation sport trac is my favorite ford truck ever in brand's history
I love Ford F150 and Ford Explorer Sport Track Road

My uncle has an F150 just like that. Except it an '02 model.
