Normally, hydraulically testing is done by removing the rudder from place and in horizontal position by head of water to which rudder will be exposed in maximum sea going draught wrt to summer load line as per IACS. We normally take it as 2.45 above the rudder but in horizontal direction. Kindly, do the change in your video.
2.45 m is just 8 feet. If u place rudder horizontally then you are in effect testing for 8 feet of water line. which is a very small height. large ships can have drafts greater than 15 metres.
