Thanks again for stopping by! I showed Bud the video and of course he loved it. He never uses the razor anymore (even though he is still very good with it) so I'm glad you got to experience that. Bud enjoyed the experience and talks about it to everyone who comes in. He's still going strong, of course! Again, thanks for stopping by our shop. It was a pleasure.
Tyler
Family Barber Shop.
Thanks Tyler ... glad Bud liked the video. We will be posting photos on FaceBook and Instagram soon, and we really enjoyed New Orleans so don't be surprised if we wander back that way sometime !! :-)
Update?How is he doing?
Tyler Hidalgo would love an update, would love to see what he thinks of almost 1 million people watch him give a haircut!
Hey is bud still alive??
I really hope bud is still alive. If you think I won't drive all the way down there from STL to see a 94 year old vet....my man you are dead wrong.
Bud passed away on November 19, 2021…. Our thoughts & prayers are with him & his family, we’ll miss you bud, thank you for letting us view this & see your work in barbering 💈 ✂️ 💇🏻♂️
Nooo… 😢
rest in peace bud, this man was a hero in 7 different generations. A great war hero and an amazing barber.
Sad news
How did you get that info
Thank you Bud! Thank you for your service too!🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸
Hopes he lives forever
i don't wanna live 4ever
DJ FLappinG HOrsE And don't forget the joker.
DJ FLappinG HOrsE then why is that your picture?
he´s prob dead
@@djflappinghorse1458 why everybody got that profile picture? What is it
Takes a remarkable person to be working at the age of 98. R.I.P Bud.
Do you really call this working? He did nothing. In fact, he messed up his hair.
Rest In Peace Bud, still one of my favorite Harry videos today.
Thank you Bud for serving for our country. I salute you.
Trevor Burton and still serving
dan jackson O7
Trevor Burton salute a killer.. That's pretty cool bro
God bless all our veterans.
No sef you're right just let the civilians save ourself from the people trying to kill us
93 and still working? That man is a true role model.
The Greatest Generation
He's 94 it says in the title
Many of those guys will tell ya do something ya love or sit around and die. Great great grandfather is still doing meals on wheels at 96
That's capitalism for you
Blessing for him and thanks for to fight for us in the past 🙏🏻
Gosh what a tough and firm voice for a 94 year old. So precise and moving rather fluidly. I'm stiffer than him at 21. Its a shame his generation is fading away. What a remarkable gentleman.
I know the feeling. 28 slipped disc in back, elbows messed up, right leg, left knee, carpal tunnel in right hand. Genetics aren't like they were back then, whole different breed and generation.
His Job is what keeps him alive and going strong he clearly still has a passion after so many years
I think the main reason why he does it is for the conversation. Unfortunately, Harry was not too obliging.
oh man i really want to hear the old man's many stories. i'm sure he has many to tell
Eagle Val same man. it really sucks that this generation is almost died off. it is one of the best generations tbh. I've heard many of my great uncles ww2 and Korean War stories and man I can listen to him talk for hours. the stuff these guys have been through
Chris Beckz the same for my grandfather. he's one of the first freedom fighters that fought the japanese here in the philippines. it's like watching a movie when he tells his old stories. so detailed and sometimes creepy when telling how they sneakily kill japanese soldiers while hiding in the mountains. i really miss him
Those are the kind of people of that generation that are fading and we need to keep their stories alive. It's getting really hard to find people like that barber to talk to and listen because they are so cool and neat.
Lets all gather around him and just listen to him
That would be really cool to hear his stories! Heck I would have him cut my hair too!
So classic!!! Love him!!!
His Original
It's cool to see " hair guys" supporting eachother. Like watching the videos that each of you produce... Thank you both for your respective efforts!
@@UnsilentLucidity Thanks. But I just look up to Haircut Harry so much. 👌
@@JasonRuppVlog I would love to see the two (2) of you do a series of collaborations. Such as one of you 2 discussing some of your most memorable barbers, the most outrageous things that have happened and so on.
Never surrender..god bless you sir...lots and lots of respect.
This is a man to look up to. I mean to make it to 93 you must do something that you love and motivates you. Thanks for reminding me once again never to retire.
Αντρέας Μπατσιλας;;
If you love what you do then you have no reason to quit if you don't want to
Hes 96 now
@@lukzclipz3920 is he still cutting hair?
Bob Smith not sure might be
At 94 years old the csm is not only working but still maintains his pride, command voice, as well as presence. His generation was absolutely forged from sterner steel.
Roughneck002 Steel? He's made out of titanium, all the soldiers were, it was a standard military grade XD
Oh heck that is a great way of putting it. 😆👍🏻
@@duncanabrams7441 nah, that's the Russians 😂
I like to think it just put emphasis on who lived. 80 years from now if 10% of ww2 vers lived to 90 then 20%, of people born in 1999 will live to 90. Better medical care. Science advances every day. Doesn't discount the man. It's just not real that their bodies were geneticly different in any way. Don't discount him saying he was built different. He earned every inch of his life..
Thanks for letting us know about Bud ,Harry. God bless him and may he RIP. Sad but what an innings! ☹️
I just wanna take the time to thank you for serving this great country 🙏🇱🇷
hope hes doing well, impressive to be working at 93, thats when you know he loves his job . thanks for your service, its much appreciated
Sneak Jr they say on you die roughly 6 years after you retire so this would explain alot!
+ZeroTheOtaku What if you retire young? my father retired at 37
Jamie Prescott why did he retire so young
@partiallGringo Because he died
Command Sergeant Major, he was in a long time! God bless him for all of his service.
giff74 he should give everyone a high and tight
who else is here in 2020 !!??
Huge respect to him ! Live Long legend ❤️
Rest in piece Bud 😭😭. You will be missed and I wanna thank you for serving our country, It truly means a lot, and I wished I was able to meet you and talk with you about your time after the military. R.I.P legend
3:25 Drops something and kicks it aside lol. Great video!
Army veteran.. He is..after all.
That's the zero fucks mentality of a man who faced the real Nazis. Not the bullshit the left screams about everyday.
@Draxis Go back to /pol/ if you wanna type stupid shit like that.
Who are the fake nazis lol?
Well simply everyone that disagrees with the screaming left, composed mostly by ANTIFA, BLM etc. Kind of people that @Europeein hangs with and says the world's going to end when a conservative rises to power.
If you're not with them you're a fascist, nazist, racist etc. You're all the "evil" that recent history has written about.
I work 10 hours today cutting hair and come home to. ..... watch a video of a haircut! Lol. Another great video. I hope I'm still working at 93!
People at 50 already giving up and want to retire and this man is in his 90s! and still pushing hard! Absolutely beautiful role model. Thank you Bud for all of your contributions and Harry for providing such a wonderful video.
What a great man and a fine Veteran. I would definitely visit him for a cut.... 94 years old God Bless Him
he moves well for being 93. Impressive
Another cool thing is that he still has all his teeth.
Zoey Vining dentures my friend
If I'm still standing at 93 and still have all my faculties , Iv'e had a good life.
no kidding
Don't worry, you wont live till 93 in this fucking days
Adi Adrian ❓❔❓❔❓
+Eric What did you not understand
Adi Adrian I'd have to disagree. With the amount of medical advancements we've made, I bet it'll be common to see people living past 100 with this generation.
Respect for Bud still doing what he loves.
God Bless Bud, upmost respect to him, WWII Veteran and still pushing out amazing haircuts 🙏🏼
Amazing haircuts? You mean ruining haircuts?
Old school cuts are the best!
How can I get a hair cut like this
working at 93 i will call him sir ! with respect ....
He will be having a lot of stories about world war 2 and he is an encyclopedia
Thanks bud for serving your country during young and not so young years truly an inspiration
God Bless this man for serving our country the USA.Truly he is a hero. I also like his baritone voice. ❤️👌🏻
Thanx from Paris , ...93 years old..respect
What a terrific video... Great haircut by such an inspiring man. Goes to show that age won't stop him from doing what he loves. Total respect!
Rest in peace brother🙏🥺
Thank you for keeping us safe,
The new generation dont deserve it but both my grandfathers served aswell in the second world war, naval and ground,
My grandfather operated a submarine, and the sacrifices, stories of great horror, bud was and forever will be one of these heroes❤🏋️♂️
was your family able to get oral histories from your grandfathers? i hope so
Old school is always the best.
God Bless this old man. As a bank teller, I see tons of people younger than this who can barely stand, but for this man to still be realizing his passion is truly amazing. And kudos to deadpan Harry for posting this on Veterans' Day. Good show, sir.
Man I would not have been able to just sit in that chair quietly. All the stories Bud has, I would love to listen to them.
What a legend
Amazing amazing amazing glory to every single WWII veterans, bravest men who ever lived
Excellent video, Harry. Bud is an inspiration. Thanks!!
Wow bud what an inspiration , war hero WHO still doing his thing at 93. Thanks Harry for posting this
Just heard Bud passed away, RIP, pleasure knowing you threw the video.
This guy , 👦 absolute legend 👏
In his 90s still cutting hair. Bravo sir bravo 👏
I find this so adorable and admirable that he still cuts hair at his age.
big comb , big scissors, big man! respect from Russia to Bud and team Harry 🇷🇺

Big man? I assume u don't mean literally cis he's about 3 foot tall
He reminds me of my grandfather. He's 93, always worked in his life, fought in WW2. Now his body weakens every year but his mind stays as sharp as it always was and since 30 years I like to listen to all the stories he got.
Rest In paradise bud❤️❤️
god blees this veterans like my dad and grand uncle
CSM Adams: Whether he's fighting Nazis or cutting hair, he's helping make the world a more beautiful place!
I asked Bud about his post military service ... his Community Service as a barber being a integral active part of the local community in New Orleans :-)
Serious respect to this guy not only for serving in WW2 but still pursuing a career in hair cutting. Thank you for you service
Feel so peaceful and relax, because the grandpa was so focusing doing things.
How fitting to post this video on Veterans Days. Thank you for sharing this videos of an gentleman of courage and honor. At 93 years old Bud still has the talent that is fading away, hard to find a barber who can give you a haircut with scissors and comb. Thank you Bud for your service to our country, it is well appreciated. Harry, looking forward to the next video.
Thanks :-)
Salute to old barber man
This gives inspiration, motivation & encouragement to youngsters!!
I miss my old time barber, Otha Nielsen...RIP....barber since the 40's Navy.....
Well that is sad knowing this guy has passed on. At least his memory and what he enjoyed doing later in life is immortalized on video for all to continue to enjoy.
Lovely haircut; looks awesome. Barber is a super guy. I respect him so much. 🙂
Much respect for this barber🙌👊
Even if he screwed up my haircut, I would be honored to have this brother in arms cut my hair.
I remember back when I bagged groceries at my local Kroger. The ww2 veterans that would come in on senior day were always my favorites. I loved hearing their stories about the war and just about life back then in general. It's really a shame that we haven't been able to interview more of them before they pass away so their stories can be told to future generations. It was an honor to load their groceries into their vehicles for them and make their day just a little bit easier.
"Bud" is a 93-yr old World War 2 Veteran and barber who served his country in the ARMY during World War Two and has now served the New Orleans community for over 50-years at Family Barber Shop!
Morning Joey, Bud was actually in the Navy during WW2 ... he enlisted in the Army after ... :-)
Thank you, I stand corrected.
NP ... I had to double check incase I got it wrong!!! :-)
Im in the military myself. We're all brothers in arms but we do give each other crap about what branch we serve. Thanks for the replies.
:-) Have a good day :-)
I think Bud is the cutest thing ever. I'm so glad he's still doing something he enjoys.
I wanna be doing you
@@chads8720 lmao, okay Chad
Sorry that escalated to quickly lol...I am sorry.
They say that once you find something you love, you dont work a day in your life and Bud shows this. Also the fact that Bud is 93 and still has confidence to be able to cut hair and then shave with a straight razor is amazing
Nobody says that. Find something ur good at that people will pay u for and you'll never work a day in ur life. Ur welcome. I mean i Iove McDonald's but I still have to work
This man is an inspiration, find a job you love doing so much that it's not a job.
Love that Bud is still hard at it! Almost felt nervous for you when he broke out the razor though Harry!! lol.... Cool old man.
Now there's a hero people. Great video Harry!
Such a humble men at his 94, yet strong and fun to watch him cut your hair nicely! A remarkable video, no doubt!
Bud is the cutest. We love you Bud.
According to the sign on the mirror Bud was a Command Sergeant Major. Those guys live forever!
What saddens me about WWII vets is that they will all be gone soon. There are 4 WWII in my town, and I have visited them just to listen to there stories from the war. Won't be able to do that in 10 years.
You're right, my grandfather is a veteran (not for the american side) and with other veterans he's always giving interview about his service. He has countless stories about it.
What nationality is he, and tell for me next time you see him that I said thank you for your service.
aaron hargis Well....he actually was an enemy for your country at least until 1943 cause he's italian and during the war fought in africa during the famous battle of El Alamein with afrikacorps (General Rommel). He was taken prisoner by British and spent 3 years as a pow in Texas at camp hererford. He became friend with an american officer and even though they're in their 90's (my grandfather is 96 now) and live in different countries they're still good friend, they enjoy talk to each other on skype and once a year my grandfather goes to Texas to find his friend. Last week italian television aired an interview of him and other veterans about their experiences as soldiers and pows. If you want i can tell you more about his story. It's very interesting.
diana tralli Oh wow. The Africa Campaign has always been my favorite, mainly because of El Alamein.
aaron hargis Unfortunately a lot of people always forget the italian army cause we didn't have a good equipment but believe me the italian soldiers showed to be not less brave and strong than any other soldier .ps According to italian army he (my grandpa) is the last surviving italian veteran from that battle.
Glad to see this vet off the streets and not starving like the rest I see and help out my fellow brothers in arms whom have served.
Yup, it is sad that a persons suffering is turned into political bargaining chip when a little humanity is all that is needed :-( Bud found a purpose and personal reward by doing what he does now as a barber :-)
This guy on the chair should’ve really been talking to the vet, y’all don’t know the crazy interesting stories they have! The time when men’s courage was really tested! Salute!
its barber's like Bud that made me want to be a barber. awesome cut, great shop, I could go there and just sit and talk with him for hours.
Harry, you are very fortunate to have visited the many barbers though out the past years. This one is very special. It is amazing to watch him cut hair at age 93. Many thanks to him for his service.
"You can talk" doesn't say a fuckin thing LMAOOOOO BEST
Soy barbero y mis respetos para el señor, que sigue en lo que le apasiona ❤️🙏🏻
cant wait for the barber chair interview on this man!!
Damn Daniel sasaaaaq
God bless this man! I can only hope my back, my shoulders, my elbows, my feet and my carpal tunnel stay good to me so I can work as long as Bud doing what I love!! Love your videos!!
Bud keeps himself busy by cutting men's hair, he obviously loves what he does. I admire this Gentleman. 😆😆😆👍👍👍
Rip Bud, a truly classic barber
Awesome video to post today. Thanks for the new content and thank you to all veterans, including Bud, for their service.
ViewFromTheCheapSeats, barber shops are honestly my favorite places to visit.
That the shop I use to go to , I loved talking to me bud and listen to all of his stories !
Bud is a badass barber for 93. now 94 hopefully.
There is an old school barber down the street from me and I think he’s 94 but I’ve been to him a couple times and he is a great barber
Great to see that smile, Harry!
Great vid
I do do that once in a while!!! ;-)

I can’t believe you didn’t talk to this guy, I’m from England and I would of loved to listening to his American voice with his amazing WW11 stories to tell. Soon there won’t be any left to tell their stories sadly. 🇬🇧 🇺🇸
Oh yes, Bud had some great stories he shared with us (and many times with local media!). We did write a blog-post about his shop and life that you can read here 👉🏼 haircutharry.com/fostering-new-orleans-community-at-buds-family-barber-shop/ We are definitely grateful to have spent a little time learning from him.
God bless him and thank him for serving ❤️
What a genuine man, dying race for sure we won’t see any of his kind forever after this generation
Respect for the veteran 👍
I was waiting for another video for a long time, but then I realized.......he needs to grow his hair out.
:-) hahaha
HairCut Harry any news on the full documentary project?
Going painfully slow ... but not forgotten. :-(
Kevbo Kev lol 😂 I've thought about that too
If anyone sees this man, tell him that thousands of people love him
I missed my grandpa.. salute to you all.
