- Haircut in one of a kind authentic old Caribbean barbershop - Wag's Barbershop in Antigua! After stopping by several shops, we found this truly unique oasis of a barbershop near St John's in Antigua and Barbuda.
Padmore Jeremiah, known locally as Paddy, has a barbershop set amongst lush tropical plants. Step inside his backyard and immediately feel the nice cool air from the surrounding plants. Sit back and relax with the gentle sounds of wind chimes and chatter of his two parakeets.
All the customers we spoke with said there is nowhere else on the island with a barbershop like this!
Paddy told us his elderly grandma used to live in the countryside until his mom moved her to their home when he was growing up. So over 40 years ago, they built a small traditional Antiguan house for her in their backyard complete with original wooden storm shutters to keep bad weather out. This home eventually became the barbershop where Paddy has been barbering for over 25 years.
Also, Paddy showed us his collection of vintage items on display. Collected over the years, he has old clay cooking pots and a sewing machine from his mom, musical instruments, sports items (cricket bat and ball), and a Polaroid camera.

The barber did his best though I'd guess he's not used to cutting Caucasian hair. What really shines is the lure of a haircut in paradise with a nice guy and his humble shop - that's something special.

My goodness...This was such an amazing and calm shop. It seems so untroubled from the daily toils of life. A place where you can go to escape with a couple birds tweeting and a warm tropical breeze blowing in. Thanks for taking us to these phenomenal parts of the world, Harry!

I’ve watched every video you have ever put out I think, and this by far is my favorite barbershop in the world. There was a banana tree right outside the window. C’mon you can’t beat that setting!
One of the things I like the most about this channel is HOW different is each barber's style of working. You can't judge a barber by the result of the haircut only. This guy? Man, "one of a kind"

That barbershop looks like a movie set, if I ever build my own house I'm using those colors for the backyard and pretend I'm always at a tropical setting.
It's so peaceful there, even with open windows, literally no sound, it's like you're on a set.

Antigua is hands down the nicest place in the Caribbean. If I were to live anywhere in that part of the world, Antigua it would be.

Barbers shop was cool, haircut was ok for someone who prob doesn't cut caucasian hair all that much and Harrys hair looks fairly challenging anyway (thick, cowlicks, poker straight) going that short at the bottom of the taper makes it hard to get nice a profile shillouete thats not mushroom like without going hight and tight. Ive seen far worse done by barbers that cut this texture all day every day lol. Would love to see Paddy bust out some fades I'm sure he's dope.
