- This video will show you how fast do Aloe vera plants grow if planted in river sand and in a container. The Aloe vera plant I used in the video are medium-sized Aloe vera chinensis.

Yay I get to binge watch so many videos! 😊 been very busy lately and winter hit Texas earlier than usual so I’ve brought all my plants inside. They’re cozied up in front of laundry room under a grow light.
Care to do grow light experiment for us cold weather/no sun growers? I remember your video about how aloe responded to no sunlight for weeks in the box. But could you do a comparison with pups growing in full sun, no sun and under a grow light for the same time frame? I’m curious to see the differences.
And my aloe sprouted a bloom 🥰
Wow, congratulations on your blooming Aloe vera. There was one seller of grow light contacted me if I could use their grow light in a video. They were going to send me the grow light for free. I didn't accept the offer because I don't have a dark room to experiment with. But, I found one UA-cam video growing Aloe vera in the basement using grow light and the plants responded well.

Give the plant enough sunlight.
My plants definitely do NOT grow this fast. I'm using cactus mix and compost.
Try harvesting two leaves per month, and you will be surprised that you will have the same number of leaves every month.
Cactus mix has a a sandy soil. This gentleman said that if you grow in a sandy medium that it will grow slower than soil. Compost really had nothing to do with it

Those are polyethylene plastic pots, or soft plastic pots. They are also called nursery pots. They can be bought in garden or farm stores.

Hello ... My aloe vera has flower buds although I can't figure out that my aloe plant whether it is Chinensis or barbadensis ... What are the flower colors of these two variants 😊
Chinensis has orange flower and Barbadensis has yellow.

The Aloe vera that I measured in the video were planted in river sand, no other mixture. Fine river sand is not the kind of sand that you mix with cement. It is usually used in gardening and landscaping. If our Aloe vera is planted in soil mixed with compost, it will grow faster.
