No not illegal. Only illegal to fish in a "green zone" marine protected area.

My grandfather would give you a spray for cleaning them with fresh water he would bring home buckets of salt water as he reckons fresh made them tougher. I could never pick the difference though..

Well within my bag limit. Squid are super sustainable and between the 6 of us we had a good meal.
