Simple yet SO effective... plus he was musical wit it. Didnt just rely on the sample. Wish i could hear the whole beat. i know its sequenced flawlessly. This was a really good one.
+Luke James (Album Reviews) Did you notice when he started fucking around with that ill bass then thought "nah that's too gully I'm giving away secrets there" and backpedalled to the timpanis? lol
I would love to hear this beat developed even further, but it isn't fated to be. Very unique approach compared to other producers on this show; you could tell by the way that his hands moved on the piano that he approaches his work from a more 'musical' perspective, with more of an emphasis on harmony than just chops alone. A sober and contemplative beat. Also, that bassy orchestra-hit sample was hot.
Because he was raised playing drums and other instruments plus he was a DJ selling mixtapes at Norfolk State University back in the 1990's so yeah his approach is different it's easy to him!
I've been blessed to have seen Bink do this dozens of times but I still learned something in this lil 5 minute video. Great work Darkness, I know Mass Appeal had to bring in extra lights for this episode.
This just might be the best one yet. Why was it so short? I keep looping it, once that bass line kicked in I knew it was gonna be flames 🔥 Then he kept adding more colours 👌🏿💯💯Big up Bink
one of the best RR videos... from a producers perspective.. alot of these dudes cant create on the fly.. for whatever reason.. this dude.. 9 wonder... eric sermon... scoop deville...cant forget black milk

See. This wasn't a beat battle beat. This was production. Subtle. Ready for a artist to spill his guts out. Nottz was always Ill. Ask just blaze. *wink*

I always like an installment of RR where a producer's signature sound comes through. This is classic Bink.
That simple baseline elevated the beat so much. I mean it was already good but that took it to the next level. Nice
