To create the music for the Nelly Furtado song "Do It", racist idiot Timbaland (real name Timothy Zachery Mosley) stole a melody composed by Janne Suni from the Amiga demo community and when confronted laughed and said he just sampled a beat from a videogame, but it wasn't a videogame and it was more than just a sample. That's the very definition of rude. How much do you really know about his background? Nothing, actually. And this is what you simp for?

If you've made beats for 8 years then you're at the point where every beat you make has to be somewhat "good" = It shouldn't really matter what beats you play. Also I think its better to showcase your "generic" beats because thats what you're really making/selling most of the time. Ofc you might have a really good beat once in a while but showcasing them here wouldn't really help to improve Ocean if he wants to actually increase sales and stuff

Respect to you and your grinding bro! Im always super honest even doe it might hurt its better to be honest.
The problem with these beats you showed are that they are not unique, you are doing what has been done for 10 years or more. I think i almost recocginze all the drum sounds, and just starting there, record / pitch / combine your own drum sounds, or dig and find your own samples, otherwise you sound like 97% of all the beatmakers out there. There is to much of everything everywhere on the word wide web and to make good stuff one have to be unique, simply just being 100% yourself. Fins inspiration somewhere else than the music your going to make, travel, I dont know, hehe your own roots dig there. THere are milions of ways to explore and find a unique own sound. Avoid the comercial sample stations!!!
God bless u bro, love your grind! big RESPECT

I know Tim doesn't like anything that isn't his, unless it's a rare day, but I do agree with some of the stuff he said. The last beat was definitely the best of the batch. I liked the cinematic drill beat too. If I'm being honest, though, there's a lot of beats that sound extremely similar. The beat game is over saturated with cool beats, but they don't have an original sound. Back when Tim was making hits, he had a sound. A lot of it probably has to do with everyone using the same drums, and plugins, in current times. If people started to mess with sound design, and made sounds that never existed before, it would take the staleness out of hip hop.

It's like, he's critiquing because he's supposed to. Because if someone like Metro Boomin played him these exact beats he would be nodding his head like crazy saying how fire they are. Of course, it's Timbaland and his opinion is very valued in the field. But like I said he has to critique because Ocean is up and coming and he's a legend, I get it. But like I said if an established mainstream famous producer played these same beats he'd be singing their praises. So it's hard for me to really value his opinion too much.

Honestly that first beat was super fire. Like the drums and the 808s hit really hard. Got some style Ocean I use FL but this shit hit hard bro. You are really one of the top producers out here in this world bro. I don’t care if he doesn’t like your beats. I like them and hundreds other people keep making 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

yeah he ok, but nothing mind blowing; even in the YT scene I always felt his stuff kinda mid tbh.

There are levels to this!! Imagine all the producers Timberland has heard!? you stuff has to be phenomenal to impress him, otherwise you just sound like all these modern producers who opened a DAW 5 mins ago!

@@jemseed but also...ocean just sucks so idk how he even got that opportunity without paying

@@less_tress No I dont agree I dont think he sucks at all. He is at a good level but is caught up in this modern emulation production style or approach and needs to define his own style (In this day and age its hard for the majority) not just conform to stand out. I think its great that he tries all styles of music and think with regards to music he has very high potential to be on all round fire. I tend to make all kinds of music so appreciate his approach to giving everything a go! Aside from that he is on fire with his youtube channel. I truly believe he is gonna have a hit at some point due to his talent, links, and capital!

I learnt so much from this. Thank you for your willingness to have him critique your beats. I can now see all the areas where I need to improve myself. It really is a process.
