  • In this video I put together the pick up bed crane from Harbor Freight and put it together in my shop. Then I do some simple fabrication on my utility trailer and mount the crane up. In a future video we'll use the crane.

That little bitty Bauer circ saw sure came in handy in that tight space - nice! Was that also a Bauer recip? And grinder?
I enjoy your content - thanks for posting!

OK, I just watched this again on a larger screen and saw that the grinder was the Bauer cordless. Recip too?

Yes sir! All Bauer cordless tools. The 3/8” impact to remove the bolts. The circular saw to but the wood out. The reciprocating saw to finish what the circular saw couldn’t do. The second generation grinder to cut the the expanded steel out. The first generation grinder to grind down the weld spots in the way and to clean the metal for welding and then wire brush the flux off the weld. Then the regular drill to drill the holes in the steel frames. Then the 3/8” impact to to tighten the new bolts. All cordless Bauer tools! They might not be professional grade but they can seriously get the work done. Thanks for watching!

Wranglerstar would NEVER say teflon/loctite is unecessary hahaha. Tech question, what do you film with? And what software do you use for editing?
Crane looks pretty handy! Not sure what I'd ever need it for but the coolness factor haha.

I have a Canon EOS M50 to film with that bought for like $650 last May, and then iMovie to edit. And ya Wranglerstar would never say that haha! I miss what his channel used to be like. I don’t care for it anymore.

As for the crane, I’ve thought about trying to start a little junk removal side gig in the past.
I doubt I will, but if I do, this would be really handy for big heavy stuff, outside of that, more than anything it’ll just be to have it for when I need it.

@@DereksWorkshopAndProjects Awesome, thanks! I have access to a rebel t3i that I've used before, considering buying it off my friend and using it regularly whenever I make the jump to making content regularly. I share a lot of Cody's opinions on the topics he discusses lately so I enjoy his content still, but I could see how people would be disappointed with how non PC he's become, as well as changing his style of content from the old tool videos he used to do. One thing that is awesome to see is his videographer ability though, he's improved tremendously with using lighting and sound etc.

I’m pretty central when it comes to politics. Sometimes find myself leaning left and others right. Depends on the specifics. One of the things about leftists I hate is their PC culture. So that’s not what bothers me about him. I’m also big on personal responsibility and he seems big on that too, where the left usually isn’t. I might lean slightly more right than left.
I rarely ever get into politics on YT though.
In fact this is probably the first time I have ever discussed my views haha.
What bugs me about him is that he used to be very work and information heavy. I really was inspired by him at one point and now he is just all about products and playing around. Not really about homesteading/farming/gardening/ wood cutting/tractors/tools/equipment like he used to be.
For me I don’t care about his snow bike trips or his RV park plans. Or even really his house remodeling. I used to learn a ton from him but I just don’t enjoy what he puts out anymore.
I didn’t know you were a content creator. I’ll look at your channel!
