- Yikes. This week, I sat down with my good buddy Jacob Sharpe, and we took a close look at Sebastian Bails and Lauren Godwin. They're known on TikTok for their tans and fake pranks, and their UA-cam channel is truly something else. Someone sent me one of their recent UA-cam videos, and it made me very upset, so I had to make a video about it. Enjoy!

Honestly I have PTSD, and I've been in a happy loving marriage for 4 years now, and we just welcomed a beautiful baby girl. But I still wake up sometimes screaming, crying, or hitting and am not aware of my surroundings. Because the trauma dosen't just go away. AND GUESS WHAT? Saying, "My heart goes out to you." to abuse victims and then treating abuse as a joke dosen't magically make it go away either.
I'm glad you're in a healthy relationship and I hope you're able to see a therapist to help work through and maybe lessen thr trauma a little.

As a survivor of severe abusive relationshipS (plural) I am so disgusted by this. I have been dealing with a shit load of PTSD and the first thing I can say is that I don't think the contents of the videos is what took me off guard (it sure did, but not enough to awaken a form of fight or flight) but rather the lack of knowledge and empathy that is shown towards survivors. Setting a milestone for other couple vloggers to make these videos and therefore creating a chain is also my biggest problem with this.
As youtube goes, taking insipiration or straight up copying popular videos I am worried of the amount of money the whole "Abusive relationship prank" branch has made as a whole.
Please, for anyone watching this wanting to help: donate to a trustable charrity to help people who have been through the hell that it is, and to recover aswell. If you know of a friend or family going through this: don't be afraid to speak up. Domestic violence is something that is way too common.
And to everyone who had survived like me, you are STRONG and you are SO MUCH MORE WORTH then what you were told you were! Stay nice in the response section, and also remember: physical violence isn't always the definition of an abusive relationship.

I'm really sorry you (and anyone else whose experienced this) had to go through that, it's really upsetting to see people make videos about abuse like this use it not to raise awareness or anything to let people know how serious it is and not show empathy towards survivors, and I totally agree with your comment. Most people in an abusive relationship don't even realize they are in one so just saying "call this number if you're abused haha" isn't enough. It's actually worse. The severe amount abuse I went through caused physical injuries that will affect me for the rest of my life. The more I think about it, the more I realize how lucky he is that no one called 911 and no cops showed up on his door prepared to deal with a violent, dangerous, possibly armed man. Obviously the "friends" inside are in on it, but what about neighbors & random passerbys? He's screaming at her on the balcony of a large apartment building in the middle of the day! Possibly doing multiple takes. Plenty of time for people to notice, locate where the screaming is coming from, see them...only to hear a loud slap sound and MORE screaming! I would call 911 if I was nearby.
Plus, thanks to the balcony being higher up and the railing likely at least partially obscuring the camera, I don't think it would be too obvious (to anyone who doesn't know them) that they're filming a UA-cam skit. If I was on the ground or in a neighboring balcony, I would just see a crazy man screaming at an upset woman, followed by a slap sound & the woman reacting like he did indeed hit her.
Even if you want to point out how it's not like they're fantastic actors or anything, they are genuinely screaming as loud as they can (and it seems he did recreate the sound & appearance of a loud slap)...would you take that chance? Honestly, I hope not! If a similar scene plays out on a balcony near you, the odds that it's actually a fake UA-cam skit is like...1 in a billion. 🤷

I have bad breakouts. I'm a girl who wears makeup. You know what helped my acne and stopped me breaking out? Washing my face 2 times a day, taking off my makeup before bed, and giving my skin breaks aka not wearing makeup if I don't have to go out.
He probably also doesn't eat very well. I'd assume fast food, mostly unhealthy snacks. If you're not getting the right nutrition, or drinking enough water, you're more prone to break out.
He's doing it to himself and then when someone points out how orange he is, he pulls out 'oh I'm insecure about my acne' but putting fake tan over acne? Yeah thats gonna cause more acne, and it's gonna be more painful that usual.
