- Jurassic World Evolution 2 just teased a Megalodon for its DLC in a trailer that is actually really cool. I’d love to see this prehistoric shark in a future Jurassic Park movie or the Survival game if it made sense. Especially in scenes with the Mosasaurus and Spino.

Megalodon in Jurassic World Evolution 2, awesome and can’t wait to see what they’re going for with this creature from the Cenozoic Era in the Jurassic Franchise just like with the Smilodon from Camp Cretaceous Season Four in my opinion.

I don't think they could easily do much with the Meg in the movies. The main issue being the Meg franchise being a semi-competitor and it's probably just not worth it there, especially since there was already a Meg vs Mosa thing in one of the Meg Novels

True, but it'd still be awesome to see it in the movies. And frankly, they don't need to do much with it. This is Jurassic Park, not The Meg, so it wouldn't be all about the shark. But one well done scene on the water where the characters have to contend with it would be good enough.
The jaws of the beast slowly emerging from behind this guy was literally the best possible teaser the team could've done. It perfectly encapsulates the notoriously mysterious nature of sharks, especially the prehistoric Megalodon. Can't wait to see it added in JWE, and *hell yes:* I would *love* to see it in a future Jurassic film someday. Maybe that upcoming "Jurassic City" I'm hearing so much about?

Yeah I honestly thought that would add a certain long toothed cat to Jurassic World Evolution 2 for the Camp Cretaceous creature pack but maybe hopefully we’ll be surprised by a future update or DLC
I love the inclusion of the megalodon in JWE2 I can just imagine in a future Jurassic movie where the megalodon battling the mosasaurus would be incredible.
Megalodon is fr the species I've eanted added the absolute most. Hope they give it some fin tearing/rib cage crushing anims like the real animal would've done

I’m definitely excited to see Megalodon finally get added to Jurassic World Evolution 2 hopefully alongside other Ice Age creatures like the Smilodon and the Woolly Mammoth, but I would also love to see it appear in a future Jurassic World movie, hopefully in a Deep Blue Sea style story alongside other Prehistoric Marine Creatures in an underwater facility far from land, to really expand on the roster of aquatic creatures in this franchise, which have so far only included the Mosasaurus and Nothosaurus in canon.

Megalodon is Cenozoic which is likely why it wasn't added before. Everything else is Paleozoic/Mesozoic. Its likely coming with Smilodon and probably a Mammoth and something else from that era. Possibly a tie in with Chaos Theory or the last season of Camp Cretaceous.

We need Cenozoic park now. megalodon is the key we needed to getting that. Its the best way to get the general public into Cenozoic creatures like dinosaurs. Megalodon is as well know as the tyrannosaurus rex.

I remember the underwater section of Telltale's Jurassic Park game. That was scary and well worth revisiting.

YES! That's what I wanted from the beginning! As for in the movies? Idk. I'm not sure about that. We already have the Mosasaurs and they didn't do much with that. Just showed it about to eat a surfer but then swim peacefully with whales.

A Megalodon vs. Mosasaur that would be extremely nice but add it in a movie not a video game. I wish I could be in the next movie it's being filmed from June to October this year in Finland. Honestly, I'm shocked it took this long for the Megalodon to even be acknowledged in Jurassic Park.
Now I kind of wish there was a way for the aquatic creatures to “breakout” in some way cause honestly, the breakouts of the animals are half of the fun of Jurassic World Evolution.
Maybe though having a fully “aquatic park”, but I don’t know how development is so that’s just me spitballing.

My best guess: it's either a prehistoric shark/fish dlc that might include Xiphactinus or something similar, or it's a cenozoic/ice age dlc with the camp Cretaceous sabertooth and maybe a mammoth.
Introducing the MEG into the Jurassic franchise is an awesome idea! I mean why not right? I would love to see it in both the video games and movies.

Personally I'm 50/50 with the idea because I'm still not used to Cenozoic Era animals being in Jurassic Park/World related content like JW The Game and Camp Cretaceous but at the same time I think it would pretty cool and interesting to see it in the game although I personally would like to see Torvosaurus and Hatzegopteryx also be added to the game as well. All and All I'm more curious to see what the other 3 species in this upcoming pack would be.

I thought they'd be on the fourth game by now, not adding DLC to the second game. Looks like they may be holding out on the third for now until the new movies are released. I am glad they are still supporting the game though.
I used to love the books about prehistoric animals, not just dinosaurs, when I was in elementary school so I'd love for an expansion to the types of animals in the movies and it makes no sense not to have them in the games since the storyline isn't as important as a movie would be.
Now all we need is a map with multiple water pens that are pre made

I'm hoping Frontier doesn't make it too outlandishly big, the 16m (52 feet) estimate would work best, making it slightly smaller than the 17m Mosasaurus and slightly larger than the 15m Shonisaurus and 14m Tylosaurus. And that they don't make it look like an upscaled great white or a movie monster but like the recent depictions of it in art with the squared snout and caudal keels.

Klayton mentions the Meg movies being silly, and they are, but as someone who is reading through the Meg books right now, they are much darker and way more up his alley, would love to see him cover something like them on dragoncurve

I mean. Water shots and animation is expensive and time consuming. So it can be hard to do things to do with water.
Even the Mosa was only short sequences. And the second one was mostly still water with them diving and then the Mosa was only silently swimming and pretty smooth with only the one of her jumping out.
They can also be difficult due to to lighting. Making it still murky but also visible is hard and you want it to look perfect.
I'd like to see the megalodon in the JP Universe. I haven't played the game in a while and have totally forgotten how to do it. I'm going to have to start a new file on a different profile.
Random question: since we know that male animals can be bred in the movies, why can't we do that in the game? Like, how cool would it be to randomly find a clutch of eggs in an enclosure after introducing a male animal into a herd? I just think that would be neat. ❤

Megalodon would definetly be interest in a JP movie especial if it was handle like Deep Blue sea with it being super intelligent like the Raptors.
(4:56) I doubt it will be in the new Jurassic movie. As cool it would be to see it fight the mosasaur underwater I honestly think thats something the Meg series is more then likely going to do (plus we don't even know if this new movie that Gareth Edwards is directing gonna be in the ocean at all). But I will say I am looking forward to seeing what the Megalodon is gonna look like in Evolution 2. 🎬🐊🤔🤷🌊🚢

The megalodon needs to appear in the Jurassic World Series
I know it may be a bit too far-fetched for some JP fans, but I think the franchise dabbling into ice age era creatures as well. Why not? People in our world are trying to do so, I feel it's only logical in the JP universe people would do the same thing. Then we could get some wild crossover fights like a pack of raptors vs a pack of dire wolves or smilodons, short faced bear vs carno (which in real life was shorter than the bear believe it or not) whatever they want, there's so much, giant ground sloth vs therizinosaurus; battle of the claws could be fun. There's just a lot of opportunity for cool stuff to be done with those creatures.
Actually, Klayton would you ever want to see other extinct animals in the Jurassic Park mythos? I know there was a game on Facebook where you could clone Woolly Mammoths and Smilodons, and even Dodo birds. Maybe even extinct birds like Archaeopteryx too?

Would rather have Helicoprion or Livyatan personally. As for that mod, developers should allow the rangers to leave the vehicle but could be killed by the dinosaurs. Think Zoo Tycoon 2 first person but you can actually be killed. Dunkleosteus deserves its own movie, underrated creature.
I'm more curious about the other three creatures that are coming alongside it.
