Great advice. Buying cars that don’t depreciate helps a lot. When I was 21 years old, I bought a lotus Elise for $30k. I had it 5 years, made all the payments so the loan was paid off. I sold it for $29k and now had $29k cash to use towards my next vehicle.
I've owned 3 of my dream cars. Bought them all used and didn't take a hit on depreciation. I threw money at the principle balance and refinance. Got the cars with reasonable payments and credit benefits. I usually keep a car that's paid in full as well
