DIY subwoofer box for dual Pioneer TS-W310D4

- A very simple and very easy enclosure build and designed for a couple of brand new Pioneer TS-W310D4 Champion Series car subwoofers.
Each has dual 4 Ohm voice coils which is perfect for dual subwoofer configuration in targeting a final impedance of 1 Ohm. Most mono block amplifiers nowadays are designed to output their maximum at 1 Ohm @ 12.6-14.3 volts.
So let's down into the project!
00:00 - Unboxing the subwoofers.

00:35 - Cut sheet list by CutList Optimizer
01:30 - Rabbeting router bit in cutting grooves to hide carpet seam.
02:30 - Apply generous amount of wood glue to seal plywood seams inside.
03:00 - Electric brad nail gun is very handy.
03:40 - Flush trim bit and roundover router bits in beautifying the box edges.
04:35 - How to carpet subwoofer box like a pro.
04:50 - Apply contact adhesive and insert carpet seams into the groove for a seamless finish.
05:35 - Everything is wired in parallel to achieve a 1 Ohm final impedance.
06:15 - Dayton Audio DATS v3 impedance meter reads subwoofer box tuning.
06:35 - Finished product showcase.
I think that is all for today and I am very sorry for not including a bass test demo on this one because customer is still out of town but once installed on his car I will hopefully record a video on the big bass test! I need thus exact box for my 2 brand new interfire special edition ifs-10d4 sq/spl subs got a set a d4 10s
The sealed box they are in aren't really doing them justice they have 14 mm xmax after break in maybe they will sound better sealed but id much prefer to drop them in a 3 cube ported box tuned to around 32 the fs on my subs is 27 htz for a 10 that's very low and deep

Hello, I had a question, is the port area in the subwoofer box according to the box liter, so is there a rule like the 16sq rule, or is the port area determined completely according to the subwoofer?
Hello AM, port area is calculated against the woofer's complete theile-small parameters, to achieve a certain box resonance not far from the woofer's Fs (open-air resonance).

One question, why do you put the 45° cut where the port makes the squad, what difference does it make if you don't put it 🤔🤔🤔?
Not much of a difference, its purpose is to add strength to the box.
If you give the dimensions of TS-W310D4 1 subwoofer, I would like to have it done by the carpenter.
I see you use pocket holes, is the top of the box just glued in place or did you use nails? I love the clean look.

Hello brother. I suggest to get an amplifier that is Class D mono (single channel) that supports down to 1 Ohm and at least 1000w RMS.

Because I prefer wood dyeing better than leathe
Stain on plywood would look great. Then top it with polyurethane or lacquer for a very nice finish.

Just box that in a sealed environment to get 55-60Hz resonant point.

Hello Franco, that project is nearing haitus due to financial capacity but I am trying my best to get it going. I am planning to upgrade its alternator and will fabricate alternator bracket. So I am saving money now, because life is really hard nowadays.
