I appreciate this teaching. The gospel is announcing who Jesus is and an invitation to discover who He really is and understanding His claims. It is the power of God to change a person. It allows a person to know Him as Lord not just Savior. A true convert becomes a true follower (learner) -a disciple of the King Jesus and embracing His Kingdom values, walks in faith, trust and obedience even in the path of humility and suffering. The good news is the Kingdom is near.
It is the easy believe-ism and consumeristic model that is the problem. Discipleship has been relegated to just an hour class on a Sunday or Wednesday instead of it being a lifestyle. “And Jesus said to them all, if any man would come after me let him deny himself, take up his cross and follow me”.
I literally had to listen to this episode again because the topic resonated with me in so many ways. I appreciate the simplicity and the truthfulness about Jesus...who is the central of the message of the gospel. Thank you Remnant Radio, this is definitely an episode that I will save in my library and will purchase the book as well. God Bless!
Another great discussion, wow. So much of what is said confirms what I've been thinking and feeling when it comes to living out following Jesus with his Kingdom in mind and my subjecting every thought, feeling and emotion to his Lordship so that my outcome Christ shaped and if not repented of. I enjoyed the way it was put when he said, Jesus being preached as a means and not a subject in our modern way of presenting him to others. It's a selfish gospel when it is all about us and what we get out of saying yes to Jesus, it's just not a healthy focus. Though it is true, I mean it's God's goodness throughout the Gospel, lets just make sure God is the reward and desire. Jesus is the life giving focus and source for all who believe in him. Love you brothers, keep digging because it's gold, it's better than choice silver the wisdom gained in truly hearing about the kingdom and it's king eternal Jesus Messiah.
Very interesting. I just listened to this after following the issue with Carl Lentz. He's being criticized for not sharing the Gospel while he was a guest on Logan(?) Paul's podcast. I skimmed through the episode and what I heard was just a discussion about Jesus and Lentz's beliefs. It didn't sound like a stereotypical pitch to bring someone to Christ, and that's why many people are upset. I don't know much about Lentz, other than he's a pastor at Hillsong, but I didn't hear anything heretical or extremely off. It was watered down skim milk, essentially, but I was thinking, is that a bad thing? Why do we have to put on a salesman suit to persuade everyone to join our side? When I talk to my friends or coworkers about my faith, I talk in a very similar way as he did. It's just seeds and I trust God to bring the harvest. Don't get me wrong, though, I don't think there's anything wrong with alter calls (etc.). I'll have to listen to this episode again. I think what he's saying is very important.
I’m confused. Did you watch this video? This has nothing to do with Catholicism. It’s about the gospel. If you are asking if we are different from Catholics. Yes we are. We are Protestants. I hold to the 6 solas.
@@TheRemnantRadio yes I watched the whole video live. I do mission work in Philipines and want to know how to apply this I'm not critiquing anything. You raised the issue of Reformational and historical theology with Scot but he declined because hes not an expert on it
Great episode today!!

Live the gospel every day wherever you are.

Not enough likes on this video. Listened to the book today and then this interview.
Loving this episode. Curious about the whiter-skinned Jesus in the stained glass behind y’all..
THIS IS A CLASSICAL GALATIANS 1;6 Paul mentioned . There is only one gospel that Jesus bring !
1 Cor. 15 and 2 Tim. 2
What’s wrong w the sound?
How is this distinct from Roman Catholicism? I mean what in that would they not believe in?

Paul Robinson well he is Anglican. They a pseudo-reformers 😂
He said Salvation involves Allegiance and Baptism 🤔
@@andrewlineberger7544 he also contested that conversion is a process...so baptism etc is apart of that.
Aslan obviously didn't stay alive. His head is on the wall.
