I reckon the Gentleman as a one watch because it has a standard bracelet and looks really good on other straps so you can dress it up or down while a PRX with several watches because it’s more unique with that sporty integrated bracelet look.
I agree - but if you’re going to get a gentleman, might as well go with a better Seiko at that price point. What I like about the powermatic is its design is unique and stands out as a sport + dress watch.
@@vokso11 Gentleman has the upgraded silicon balance spring and no plastic parts whereas the PRX has a standard balance spring and plastic parts. Gentleman definitely has the better movement.
The Tissot’s are my favorites. I’ve had a Tissot PRC 200 for about 20 years and I wear that watch the most. I have a steel Sub,A Santos and a Omega but the Tissot is my daily
my new favorite watch is a Vostok amphibian. I sold my small collection of Rolex oyster, zodiac aerospace gmt, Seiko diver and some others and did ok. I'm looking for a decent Steve McQueen explorer Rolex knockoff, can you recommend one?
I have several of these watches. My favorite is my Tissot Gentleman Powermatic. So simple, clean, classic. Like a Rolex OP and an Omega Aquaterra had a baby. But instead of costing $6,000 it costs about $600-$800 depending on where you buy it. I love the Rolex OP. I love the Omega Aquaterra. But I can’t justify buying either knowing how great my Tissot Gentleman is. I could maybe justify $1,000’ish on a a Christopher Ward Sealander, which might be my next watch… or The Twelve.
@@abdulrahmanassous2873 When I got mine, there were much less options. I actually bought both the blue and black dial. I preferred the blue and returned the black. I’m very happy with the blue, but now seeing both the silver dial and the ice blue are beautiful. If I could have only one, I’d probably keep my dark blue because the contrast is good. Light color dials can be hard to read in light conditions, especially in the sun. That said, I could totally see myself also getting a white dial and/or the ice blue to add to my collection. You can get 2 Tissot Gentleman watches for around $1,500 or 3 for around $2,300. I can’t think of any other watch I could get for that price that I would like this much. Nothing comes close. I currently have 12 watches in my collection. I’d happily trade several for more Tissot Gentlemen models in different colors. That said, I should probably save the money for my next step up, which will be a Cartier Santos 👍
The prx 80 is my next pickup🔥🔥🔥 getting the black one since I already have a lot of other colorful watches I need my best one yet to be neutral so it can be my go to with any outfit
I like Seiko but I believe the first three models only have Hardlex crystal and not Sapphire. Look into Kuoe, a micro brand from Kyoto. Heirloom pieces with that sapphire crystal.
For less than $1k happen to like vintage Longines, vintage Zodiac and the venerable Vostok Amphibia once I upgrade the bezel to a ceramic insert and change the band.
Dont get the Tissot PRX powermatic 80. I love the Tissot PRX but the automatic movement has so many plastic components which basically makes servicing it more expensive than just buying an entire new movement. Just buy the Quartz, its cheaper looks better. And if you want an automatic one just spend like 200 more and get a MAEN manhattan 37, or a baltic
@@TheRSChippe Certina isn't sold in the US, where he and I live. It seems amazing though, I'm absolutely going to buy one whenever I find myself in Europe.

Solar powered, so the capacitor lasts months and not years since it's not a battery. But you can give it a nice bath in the sun for a few hours every other month to keep it running. I own the speed timer.

All 5 of these are available at our shop www.caratco.com

Seiko 5 GMT is $300 in Walmart

Many Swiss watches under 1000.

Buy Japanese, but not Seiko.
Seiko and Tissot are the best at what they do at their price point.

No, Certina watches are so much better than Tissot. Same movements but better cases!
No, best in all of watches. Way better then rolex etc

I love Tissot especially for the price point. I think they have some great options.
I’ve got a sub 100€ Seiko 5. Automatic, clean as hell and goes with everything!
