I feel like our dominant thoughts are created by the content that we consume the most. Thoughts appear and disappear but it has no effect on the experiencer.
Interesting. When I closed my eyes to think of something, the visualization of Dosa on dining table diagnonally left-opposite to the sofa I was sitting on, then seeing a moon from the terrace that was on my right side and then a flower vase (though not present) on my left side table came to my mind. The connection of all these thoughts were they were in the proximity of where I was sitting, but needing to choose something proximate to me itself was not 'my' (as of the individual I am imagining myself as) decision and when I tried to think of another totally distinct thought, another country New Zealand popped up, that is again based on distance. But then, I as an Individual was helpless in choosing it. Even If I succeed in coming up with a completely new category (music occurred to me, now) again I was not the one who chose music, though I can reason later that sight and sound are two predominant senses.
I think you're saying that we are being Lived by the Infinite Intelligence, that all perception of "choice" and free will is illusory. Thoughts appear, actions follow thought, we are witness to it all. It's extremely awesome if this is the case!
Sometimes I am sure with lot of people the mind is just too turbulent to experience anything . , recurring thoughts with high emotional charge can be violently turbulent to maintain awareness. That is when people seek distraction , sometimes it works too in dissolving highly emotional thoughts before you can return to self inquiry and avoid getting trapped in the mind . What are you thoughts on it ? because this is a very common concern for all. Maybe you can make a video on this as you may have experienced the same at some point.
Question: “I” recently had a medical procedure that required being put under (asleep) via sleeping gas. When I woke up I had no memory of anything, not even of “being aware”. Where did my awareness go? I understand having no memory of mind and body but, where did my all-knowing, eternally present awareness go? Is the mind crucial for awareness? It seems almost like awareness springs forth from the mind?

@@selfinquiryschool it was another class but it's written that you have updated to your new Self-inquiry workshop which I had watched before. Maybe I need to watch again. Despite all my meditation, my overthinking is going out of control... Maybe it's "ego backlash"...
@@amandaroncatobatista2727 I think it’s very common with all, sometimes it goes out of control and becomes extremely difficult to maintain awareness, at that point of time , accepting this as nature of mind and surrendering ( I tend to distract myself with something a video or sports news it could be anything, which your mind may have more interest ) for time being . Then as the overthinking or thoughts dissolve, you can return to self inquiry gently . Just sharing what works for me till. Mastery is achieved.
We don’t have to conplicate it in this way haha it’s perfectly okay “to contemplate.” However yes see that there is no individual thing contemplating; that contemplation is happening.

If consciousness is happening all the time as implied by your video and as seen through this exercise... surely the same experiment can be applied to action and the decision to act itself. Where is that decision coming from? Just as the decision to think is not necessarily coming from "you" so it can be said for the decision to act, to be.
Through all videos your solution is basically knowing the awareness. Everything u relate to awareness. But why cant u make a crisp video to understand awareness. I even saw your meditaion videos but cant find much about how to realise awareness. Please make a video on realising awareness , seriously none of your videos clearing tell us . Hi sunny...thoughts become things right? Law of attraction coaches tell us to consciously think positive...but ur teaching contradicts tht...u r saying tht even the thought we choose consciously is random...plz throw some light into this
I have been wondering a lot about this concept of "choice" to make decisions but then I get stuck in overthinking and I get disturbed. A lot of spiritual teachers say "follow your heart" but I am wondering if this is just another mental concept. I don't know. It's all very confusing.

Awareness was still there, but you just lack memory of the experience. Just like in deep sleep. 😊
