The cub was my first legal motorcycle, loved it and it sounded beautiful, like all Triumphs.
I had a 1976 Triumph Bonneville 750 when I was in college and I still miss it.
The most work went into this bike before the restoration.
Beautiful job with the patina!
This is called actual restoration ❤️❤️❤️
Black paint straight on bare metal? No primer?!
And comments say top professional job!!
agree! sloppy work 👎🏻
My thoughts exactly. Plus wrong welding technique, wrong choice of tools etc. Making it more difficult to do the job properly next time. Sad.
@@beentheredonethat6885 this is how kids do things now. The powder-coating went on right over rust still in the axles.
I have a cup high maintenance call tiger cub super 1500 sold it for 1500
I had a 59 tiger cub which I bought in 63 on leave from the merchant navy,it was a great little bike.
Lovely bike never a problem memories
Absolutely top drawer restoration. Mesmerising. Looking forward to the next segment.

Great Job
I’m more amazed that he found a side points model with tank badges still intact. Well done!

Wow this is awesome!! I can't wait for the next episode!
I remember the Cub well.
Although only 200cc, it produced a great bark from the exhaust.
However, physically it was a tiny bike & anybody over 5' 8" riding it looked like a Circus Clown riding one of the tiny 2 wheel miniature bicycles.
These restorations are amazing. Real restoration!
Great job!
Good video👍

MERVEILLEUX!!!!
niceeeee❤️❤️
Dragged out a pond by the looks of it. !
Excellent job 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
My first motorcycle, I was 16. I have owned many motor cycles since 1965, I am sorry to say that my Tiger Cub was the worst bike I ever owned, the electrics were dreadful, it kept wearing out big end bearings, and it leaked oil all over the place, just like almost every British bike of that era. Great video though! Thanks!
Me too, bought a touring cub in 1969 and that lasted 6 months before the big ends went. My local motorbike shop had an old trials cub going for £25 which was cheaper than getting the ends done so I basically bought that and swapped the number plates over. The trials Cub was great with a 54 tooth rear sprocket - great for fast getaways but only a top speed of about 60! Great fun, had the mushroom points which you could turn whilst driving!!.
♥️♥️♥️♥️💐💐💐💐♥️♥️♥️♥️
Triumph motorcycle one of the best bike on that' time it's used in Army's porpoise you guys I like your work well done 👍
Excellent work 👏👏🇨🇵
Great job Sir! I used to have one of those. Great little motorbike , well worth restoring.
What a super rare find. Most of these have been well gone for over 40 years, at least. This is going to be a gem and worth restoring (dare I say not all are worth the time, effort and expense, e.g. some common, old, small capacity Japanese bikes).
One of my friends had a Kawasaki KZ 900 back in the mid 70s and it was so big and fast I was scared of it 😳.
Good
Do what you love, and love what you do....wawww awesome bro...,,
Good job
Good job brother , your my inspiration 😎💪😍
Just did a BSA fender the opposite direction LOL!
cool motorbike
Fantastic, im looking forward to the next episode,i have been considering doing a full restoration on a triumph tiger cub,or a bsa bantam, something easy,to do on my days im not at work.
You did such a great job! Keep posting more videos.
I wished I had your skill
I had a Cub in 1971. I think it was from 1959 registration MRA123. It was unreliable and I didn't have the money, skill or intelligence to fix it properly, but I loved that bike.
I would never have the courage to restore a bike that had caught fire.
Great project! Lovely bike!
At last, a restoration job where the finished project stands a chance of being worth more than the cost of the spares that it took to rebuild it!
Most people don't restore stuff to make money or turn a profit. They do it for the fun and satisfaction..it's also a great way to get to know your bike inside and out.
Ur back bro after a long time
I leave likes and subscriptions 👍💪
Brilliant
good
good job
good job 👍
no primer on the bare metal?
I had a 1960 Tiger Cub scrambler. 16 hp and 200 cc. Had a lot of fun riding it, but the Honda 150 cc was faster.
Part 2 please
Ocean find
Right I’ve just started watching this and it’s proper not possible . I’m watching closely
Next part 2 and final
I was literally thinking that the old owner of this bike did burnouts!
Awesome vid, love the restoration but also how you did the video. What makes you decide between powder coat or paint job ?
AFTER LONG WAITING THE VIDEO IS BACKK ❤️❤️❤️
How about some undercoat?
Great video. Enjoyed tremendously. How often will you be posting videos on the project.
Great movie and great project. Work done at a high level 😉. Try to apply putty on the base, not on bare metal, as the putty has no anti-corrosion properties. I am also trying to restore something and record it. Can you tell with what you record movies?
How to stretch a video three times the length it could have been😂😂
Where is part 3 final build?
Takes me back, forever trying to fix the leaky pushrod tube…
Professional and precise work, congratulations 👌.
Thank you 😀.
I replied by e-mail to the question (12.10.2022).
@@ZygmuntKiliszewski sir where are you from?
@@sauravverma7642 Poland, also look UA-cam!
Кислотный грунт? Не, не знаем😳😳😳
I love watching these videos but two things stand out.. first you use chemical paint stripper rather than sand blasting which seems to me to be quite an inefficient way to do it. Second you seem to have spray painted directly onto the bare metal of the frame without a coat of primer?
why are you using metric spanners?
Painting directly without primer ?
It cost just as much to restore a small bike as it is a big one. Therefore you will not gain your initial investment back with a smaller bike. Still it's nice to see one brought back from the dead.
That's a bike worth restoring.
It's not always about the money, amirite?
☺
@@davebarrowcliffe1289 iv said the same for years i restored a honda cb 500 twin adout 20 plus years ago new old stock parts were available my friends said a waste of time and money i got the bike for nothing take it away 4 years ago i got my money back plus used it on sunny days just saying it’s something worth waiting
No primer?
Next
NO PRIMER before painting?! That won’t take long to rust again.
how do you know the complete engine build? did you graduate from any special mechanical school?
In 1964, I owned two Triumph Tiger Cubs, and both of them were runners - of sorts! These bikes with the Unit Construction engine - just had to be the worst machine that Triumph sold in the UK! The Alloy Casings could not remain tight (or even oiltight). Threads in the Alloy Crank Case (both sides) became stripped - out!! When one Cub broke down, I had a 'second' machine, and simply switched over the number plates. It was the only way that I could get to work, always on tenterhooks wondering if I would make it home again. They just had to go...........
Where's the video of the finished bike? 🤔
Why the use of metric spanners and no primmer with the paint
What final cost would you say to do this restoration?
Bro can u please tell me your location that i can restore my bike, I just stunned of ur vdos!!
ware is part 2 on utube
No primer on the frame?🤔
Some of the bolts removed were not standard, after restoring several cubs they had particular bolts and screws common to cubs only.

Пойдет , не пойдет, так поедет.
What type of paint stripper did you use?
No, not a thumbs up! I want to know, what type of paint stripper did you use?
Will you sell it
Can't believe that once the wire wheel was used , there was no sign of primer or undercoat, just bare metal nor was it shown the inside of the fork shrouds/ inside of front and rear spring coils been cleaned.?. Otherwise nice resto.
Steel guard couldve been bronzed filled and rechromed
Why would you paint before a dry build?
Bhai yek hame gari chahiye
👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍👍👾👾👾👾👾🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳NICE 2 WATCHHHHHH
The hard way......
I have a rajdoot n I m willing to restore it. Can u do that
I can’t believe that you are using Metric tools.
