As a Parts manager, I can assure you that it’s not the aftermarket parts. It’s your suppliers for the aftermarket parts. Nothing wrong with going aftermarket. Just have to have a good distributor so you actually get the right stuff.
Yeah I’ve done a few of these diffs for rangers. One guy didn’t want to spend any money. So I removed diff, driveshaft and disassembled cv Axles till just the outboard joint. This left him a super smooth running 2wd 800 ranger glorified golf cart! He was happy as could be. The JD oil is John Deere Hy-guard low viscosity. Make sure it’s the low vos. The gators run the same front diff design as Polaris.
Love your videos and your overall approach to maintenance. Take it from someone who learned the hard way, NEVER use your hand as a hammer. Just get something to smack it with.
East Lake Axle is fantastic I have a weird in between years Polaris Sportsman so I had ordered the wrong shocks. They sent them out free and covered shipping both ways. Phenomenal company and I’d highly recommend them.
Great video Rock !! I don’t think the owner does much maintenance on his machine !! The front bushings looked pretty dry and I saw some grease fittings on the Aarms
LUCAS came out with fluid to specifically replace the OEM polaris fluids. It's been in my 2005 700xp for about 6 months and has seen alot of ride time and the lucas fluid is only $12-$13 a qt
I really enjoy your work. Keep it the videos coming! I'm curious, what are your thoughts on Namura top end kits? Both my 600 grizzlys need a top end. Thanks Rocky. I think that's your name?
on the engine was there a hose disconnected? looked like one side was connected towards the front and the back was flopping around. 28:42 behind your hand.
What’s your opinion on using a bolt vs the roll pin on the drive shaft to diff yoke . i see a lot of people go with a bolt because it’s easier to get out vs the roll pin
I do not like polaris all that much. Those plastic cages they used back in the day for the front diff were junk. In fact that whole diff was junk lol. Good fix though.
@@northerntoyota7584 I bought my first Polaris in 2017 because I liked the new body style and design !! It’s been great, over 13000 kms on it now with no issues !! I have always been a Yamaha fan !! But they don’t seem to build anything new or bigger than a 700
Throughly enjoy these descriptive videos, so much learned and really nice seeing a guy doing his customers right! That’s why your the best!

@@rockspowersportsgot a question working on a eiger 400 put the new upgraded stator and flywheel and it still doesn’t have any spark any tips on that?
Great video. Keep them coming as always.
Nice fix. Handy little machine.
Nicely done. It looks like the front end is nearly all new now. It should ride a lot better.
Subscribers are coming up to !!! Nice to see that
Appreciate it!
He's the best out there and down to earth

Glad to hear that! First time I used them.

These Polaris’s so have grease fittings, not sure they were greased often..

East lake ain’t bad always use there axles
A decent price for a whole new front diff! hopefully it lasts, they claim hardened gears on their website at least.

I don’t see any problem with a bolt, might increase vibration a very small amount but probably won’t be noticeable
Arkansas Waven
wow, the dude must just run and (didn't) hear any noise at all!!!lol
I went to change a wheel bearing on my sportsman 850 and the new one basically fell into place. What could cause this?
Hi, Where are you out of? Thanks. I live in Milton Vermont
I am in island pond VT
I have no intention of buying another Polaris. Had 2 and was not impressed with either one.
Who left. The oil out of the case..😊😊😊
Buddy did front diff I guess no stubs and 2wd lol
Eastlake is junk! Had a diff from them start popping on the very first ride
Let’s hope that’s not the case with this one. Time will tell, I know the customer well so we will see.

Weak front diffs for sure on the Polaris models !!
Back in the day the entire atv’s were junk. I’m talking late 90’s until mid 2000’s. Last ones I owned.

@@jeremyfre9761 l do believe that Polaris does have a weak 4 wheel drive system !! Even on the new models
