പലരും ഫുഡിന് ഭയങ്കര റേറ്റ് ആണ് എന്ന് കമെന്റ് ഇടുന്നുണ്ട്, but ഒരു 5 സ്റ്റാർ ഹോട്ടലിൽ എവിടെ പോയി കഴിച്ചാലും ഈ റേറ്റ് വരും, ഞാൻ ഇതു പറയാൻ കാരണം, ഞാൻ ഒരു ഷെഫ് ആണ്.
അതിന് സാധാരണക്കാർ 5star ഹോട്ടലുകളിൽ പോകുന്നില്ലല്ലോ...ഷെഫ് പിള്ളയെന്ന പേര് 5 സ്റ്റാറാണെങ്കിൽ പറയാം.

@@deepumon.d3148 നിങ്ങളുടെ അഭിപ്രായം correct ആണ്.10₹യുടെ സാധനത്തിന് 100₹ കൊടുക്കണം quantity വളരെ കുറവും.. കാരണം RCP ഒരു fine dineing restaurant ആണ് അതായത് high quality and tasty food ആകും but low quantity and high price.. ഇത് സാധാരണക്കാരന് പറ്റിയതല്ല.

My friend and I went to Grant Hotel Kochi for a tea in 1992, just two cups tea nothing else, but we spent some peaceful time there, tea was below average, price for two cups of tea was Rs 90. Compared to that Chef Pillai sooo cheap. We pay for the professional service and and ambiance. Don’t compare a fine dining restaurant to a normal restaurant with local food.
Review kettitu decent restaurant aayi thonunu. Pinne items onnum atra potta aakan chance illa. Chef Pillai has a reputation to maintain. Once in a while family aayitu vannu kazhikam. Items might seem overpriced, but remember you are not paying just for the food. The ambience and service matters as well. In addition, they would use ingredients with the highest quality. I would definitely go when I am back in Kerala for Christmas.

I really like chef pillai’s humbleness and cooking style . Ath kondu thanne Recent ayitt kochi poyi try cheythu …. Nirvana, paal konchu , nool porotta as expected nallthyirunnu.. we all liked it . Also the inchi puli lollipop…. Chicken roast was average.
The falooda was really disappointing. Two mini pieces of unniyappam in a normal falooda drink … coconut pudding was nice, but not excellent ..
My sis in law tried later and said the same. They tried biryani and was not upto the mark…
We might go back only to have the seafood items..

Definitely chef pillai restaurant is over priced!! Here in Bengaluru one curry will cost you 600 plus rupee I don’t think that’s that expensive!! There are other good restaurants selling it for 250-300 rupee
There are lot of other factors like branding, demand etc. Even i can make curry in 100 also. Branding is major factor. Chef Pillai+Le Meridien=💥

Then branding there are multi start restaurant here in Bengaluru which produces much tastier food than this restaurant who had priced their food to decent standards!! One chicken fry can be somewhere around 250-350 based upon quantity!! See the price here it’s almost double than one kg chicken
@@arjunk1894 Boss. Firstly I reside in BGLR. Coming to kochi chef Pillai Restaurant is tie up with high end multi chain hotel brand like Lé Meridien. So their demand is high. Don’t compare price with 3star and 5star restaurant. Hope you know the difference. Peace ✌🏼
Coming to Chef Pillai Restaurant in bengaluru. It is stand alone restaurant not tied up with any brand like Lé meridien or Hilton’s. So the final pricing of individual dish is less compared to Kochi.

True. The coconut cream surpress any other flavour and it takes over your palate.
This is because everyone goes with a prejudiced mind based on our previous experience with food assuming it is similar to all Kerala cuisine. This is a different kind of food which he has prepared as a special. So I hope people would go with a more open mind while tasting new dishes in the future 😀

When Mr pillai initially introduced fish Nirvana to the people, I tried it the exact same way he showed and I became a fan of this simple yet delicious recipe. But what he makes and what they deliver in restaurant is not the same is what I felt . First of all the primary ingredient itself is not the same . He uses fresh coconut milk and what it tastes in the restaurant menu is pure thick sweet tinned coconut milk with no flavor of ginger or curry leaves .
