The GX1 is a great electric scooter for short distance rides around the city if you dont like to pay for expensive car parking costs. It handles really well up hills. My only complaints after owning one are the speed limit and range. It will get you where you need to go and pretty quickly, but you fall in love with it and want more. It's great for riding on sidewalks, but not quite fast enough to keep up with street traffic.
Nice review! Was hoping you'd begin doing stand up scooters. Wife and I use Apollo Phantom V3 scooters out and about the East Bay trails. Can do 40mph with my 6'2" 200lb and sync with a phone to track rides. We love them. Keep up the great vids!

I got the raptor from best buy ($999) it's a grey like gx2 but definitely a gx1. Plenty of power for big guys.

You should look into a vsette 10+r. About the same price but so much better with speed and range
