I would recommend that you guys do some extra research before buying as i still stand by my words here of the Gotrax GX3 still being a fantastic scooter though there have been reports on Facebook and reddit about code issues with the GX3. I would still be interested in buying if i can at least be able to buy spare replacement parts so i dont have to deal with customer service and just self repair the scooter should i need to do so.

It says sold out on the website im wondering if they are doing that because they know they are having problems with it currently? Isn't it fair to give them a chance to workout the kinks?
@christianstaton6989 absolutely but they havent responded to any of my emails and unfortunately thats the only way to reach them. I still think the GX3 is a great scooter but i can only give my opinion based on this single test ride. If Gotrax is willing to work with me i would love to do a legit updated video but i wont be buying one out of my pocket at this time as I already have 3 scooters i paid for. 😅🙏

@@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 hey bud, question! I got mine yesterday and it’s beautiful.. BUT.. I’ve noticed there’s a dead zone on the throttle. It’s not a delay, it’s just a dead zone. So I can move the throttle trigger a full half inch in, repeatedly, and nothing happens.. then all of a sudden when it registers it wants to GO.. did you have that experience? Is that normal for these electric scooters?
@Chris-uc7kh actually i did experience that. The guy from Gotrax said it was normal, i thought it was normal too since even the Apollo scooters did the same thing. The only scooter that didnt do that was the Kaabo WolfKing GTR. The Inmotion RS i pre ordered does that too. Maybe its like a safety feature?
I ride a GoTrax G4 at the moment. I'm ready to upgrade. I'm looking at the GX3, or potentially another brand. Tempted to stick with GoTrax though since the G4 served me relatively well... Tubeless tires are a must, and regenerative braking would be a nice touch.
You should go for it. This thing has POWER!!!! But a super smooth acceleration. If i could buy one now i would i was so interested in it when it was on sale at bestbuy for $1,650.00 that was an incredible deal for the GX3. But the wife said Stop It! @@ghb7091 oh that depends. if you want a very comfortable ride, and don't go for super long rides get the GX3 but...... if you want longer range at a lower speed like 35 to 40 Mph then get the GT Pro as it will also have the Torque you need to take on any road challenge.
@fancypants6089 its supposed to be Tubeless but without Gotrax willing to send me a unit to properly review i cant give you an answer. It seems some are receiving them with and without tubes in them which is weird.
@1gryfpl hi, from what i remember during the test ride, it is located at the top side of the trigger throttle but i dont remember if the hex key that needs to be used is a 4mm or 5mm also i cant remember if the screw head is at the top or bottom of the throttle but once you loosen it, you can adjust it up or down and move or closer to the handlebar grip or a bit more away from it depending how you want to adjust it. Also adjusting the brake levers down more will definitely help with wrist fatigue which I recommend you do which will also allow you further adjustments to the trigger throttle. I hope this helps and i apologize for barely getting your notification on youtube. I noticed you asked this question 10 hours ago. For some reason youtube just doesnt give me any notifications in a timely manner. 🙏
@@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 Thank you for your information, I adjust the throttle on the bar handle but the issue I have is not the position but respond of the throttle? There is any way I can adjust the "sensitivity" of the throttle?
@1gryfpl ah if you are experiencing a bit of input delay where you press the throttle down and it takes a bit for it to react then probably no as some scooters have that issue but if you want the acceleration speed to increase there might be a way to get into the parameter settings or (P-Settings) for short and adjust the acceleration from there. Im just not sure how to get to those settings, though. 🙏😬
Congrats in the GX3, however hearing that its a bit jerky in acceleration is a little concerning, i wonder if there is a setting for it to charge that. I know this one i test rode here was very smooth and got you to your speed without the wheels spinning out of control from all the Torque going to them.

Can you help me out? I'm wondering what your height is and if you feel that the handlebar height is ok for taller riders? I'm 6'7 and wondering if you think this would work? How does it compare to the scooter you currently ride?
Hi Christian, i am 5ft 6in tall so im pretty short. I feel that the scooter is at a good height for taller riders, compared t9 my current scooter at the moment which is the Segway Ninebot Max G2, the Gotrax GX3 is an awesome scooter with very good performance, you will ve able yo go up to 38 miles per hour and the scooter gets you to that speed with smooth acceleration and excellent stopping power because of the Hydraulic brakes. On top of that it had 2 adjustable shocks in the front and 2 in the rear for the best riding comfort for the price.
I was looking at pictures of the SEgway Ninebot. Would you say this is a taller handelbars? I was comparing your video to the other entry level scooters and thought that this gx3 looked taller but that may have been just because the scooter sits higher with the larger tires. I was looking and know you mentioned the GTR Wolfking and I was allso looking at the Solar EQ. I guess I'll take your word for it on the handelbar height there is no other reviews really out and I haven't been able to get a hold of the company for specs. Hi, it was a Paid event called Rider Fest 2023 at the Apple Valley Speedway that was created by Rider Guide. They did this event October 8th 2023. They are planning on making another one but it wont be done till next year. The tickets were about $40.00 but the convenient thing about it was the Zero Obligation to buy on the spot as all the brands that were at this even knew that they would only be offering test rides of their line of scooters offered and hope to make a future sale if the rider enjoyed the scooter.
Hmmmm..... thats a really good question, the Apollo Ghost i wasnt able to test because it was charging during the time of my test rides so i cant speak of that one but the Apollo Phantom, that scooter was really cool even though i did get a flat due to a piece of glass getting on the edge of the tire during my test ride. The Apollo phantom is in the same price category as the GX3, the phantom does go 41 miles per hour top speed and gives up to 50 miles of range in eco mode vs 38 miles per hour on the GX3 with 60 miles of range in eco mode, the range also depends on the rider's weight as well as the area they are riding in like hills etc both the Phantom and GX3 have Quad suspension with 2 springs at front and in the back so you will get a nice plushy feel while riding. The Apollo Phantom has 52 volts at 23.4 Amp hours for the battery and the Gotrax GX3 has 54 volts 25 Amp hours on the battery life which explains why you can get 10 miles more of range. If i had to pick one i would go with the gotrax because right now its for $2000.00 vs $2,200 for the Phantom, you also get a 3 Amp charger for the GX3 which will charge your scooter in 7.5 hours vs 9 hours with the Phantom using a 2 Amp charger. It just comes down to which style of scooter so you like put of the two i mentioned but both are great brands.
They should change all their tires to tubeless. Wouldnt be a bad scooter if they just changed to tubeless but until then theyre kinda useless. Also needs way better CS
Agreed. But this GX3 definitely has Tubeless tires so they are probably listening to customers which is that is the case that is awesome. But they definitely should change their other lower tier models to Tubeless tires.
@jasonmelo9379 indeed, i have confirmed that with Gotrax Customer Support. Those dudes are nice, man. Once i pay off my RS ill be buying a GX3 or perhaps a GX4 if they make one that can surpass the GX3 but man, that scooter left me wanting it lol
@ladyjedi3901 honestly im not sure of they did with the GX3 as to me it honestly felt very well made. Unfortunately to make the video as short as possible there was a lot of footage i removed in editing but it Definitely doesnt look like they cut corners here for the GX3 at least, im not sure about their other line of scooters. 😅
Hi, this was an event done by Rider Guide back in October 8 2023 at the Apple Valley Speedway in California. It was called Rider Fest 2023 and i hope they make another one. You pay an entrance fee and you get to test ride any scooter you like without the obligation of buying, it was a wonderful experience.
Agreed. A removable battery would make this a sweet deal. The battery can indeed be changed but you have to disassemble the deck in order to get access to it. Its not that easy to do. 😬

I LOVE ❤️ 😍 front fork suspension design unlike C-type suspension it looks awkward Segway GT2 is front fork suspension it looks beautiful. World's FASTEST scooter is SLACK CORE over 90mph front fork design. ESC Electric Scooter Championship only used front fork suspension because they're superior doesn't need a damping. This GX3 was wonderful to ride though. I was so impressed with the soft suspension and the smooth acceleration.
Yeah man, this Gotrax GX3 is their nicest scooter they have but the customer support isnt there. Inmotion is good but with them some have been having a bit of a hard time getting parts when things burn out like controllers or motors from pushing it too hard specially in single motor mode. I thinking thats mainly because the scooter in new on the market and hasnt been around a year yet. But yeah the Inmotion specially the RS is a high performance beast.
Im assuming you own this exact GX3 scooter and can speak from experience on how it does performance wise? It would be super helpful to everyone to post up a video review of your experience, i always like to speak the truth about anything i try out based on my experience. Unfortunately i cant speak for the reliability of the Gotrax GX3 because all i was able to do was a quick test ride and though i liked it alot, it would be a deal breaker for me if it has reliability problems.
Also the gotrax has 11 inch tubeless tires and the apallos are tubed
Thanks for responding, I'm still torn between the two. Ugh!
Nice review
🙇♂️🙏 thank you
Did it have hydraulic brakes or cable actuated?
From what i remember they looked like hydrologic brakes but i could be wrong. The branding on the brake calipers and brake handles were (NUTT).
I got a gotrax and i love it
@jtor150 nice!!! This GX3 stayed on my mind. This was the first time ive heard of Gotrax too. They make really good scooters.
@@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 just watched your vid again it definitely has hydraulic brakes. But gotrax site shows cable and hydraulic brakes.
@pblabrat07 they need to fix that, so there isn't any confusion. Ill send them an email and see if they will correct their information. 😎👊
I think all the GX models are tubeless
@jasonmelo9379 indeed, i have confirmed that with Gotrax Customer Support. Those dudes are nice, man. Once i pay off my RS ill be buying a GX3 or perhaps a GX4 if they make one that can surpass the GX3 but man, that scooter left me wanting it lol
@@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 I used to have the nami burn e highly suggested
@ladyjedi3901 honestly im not sure of they did with the GX3 as to me it honestly felt very well made. Unfortunately to make the video as short as possible there was a lot of footage i removed in editing but it Definitely doesnt look like they cut corners here for the GX3 at least, im not sure about their other line of scooters. 😅
Where is that?
Hi, this was an event done by Rider Guide back in October 8 2023 at the Apple Valley Speedway in California. It was called Rider Fest 2023 and i hope they make another one. You pay an entrance fee and you get to test ride any scooter you like without the obligation of buying, it was a wonderful experience.
I would get it if it's swappable batteries! Swappable batteries is very important!
Agreed. A removable battery would make this a sweet deal. The battery can indeed be changed but you have to disassemble the deck in order to get access to it. Its not that easy to do. 😬
@@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 Roadrunner electric scooter RS5 and the new RX7 are all swappable batteries I'm getting a Roadrunner electric scooter because its a swappable batteries and much faster. Plus ➕️ Roadrunner logo is soo much COOLER! Also a US base company. Swappable batteries is the FUTURE!
@zztop7000 ah you are looking at the Roadrunner too? Im very interested in the RX7, man that scooter looks so freaking awesome and that Ambient lighting is so unique! Ive never seen a scooter like that. The design and that BIG 72V 40Amp hour battery caught my attention. Either the RS5 or the flagship RX7 would be a great scooter to own.
@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 As you know I already have scooter currently I'm using Mercane MX60 swappable batteries water proof TOP speed 45mph! It's a beast 💪 this one is a front fork design you don't need a damping. The ONLY thing I didn't like on Roadrunner scooter is C-type suspension bad design. Also the Gotrax C-type suspension garbage! Front fork suspension is far reliable design that's WHY ALL E-bike and motorcycle also motocross used dual front suspension. Have you WATCH ESC electric scooter championship on UA-cam?
@zztop7000 i have!!! Im subscribed to them. They are incredible! Ive even seen one of them fall but they immediately get back up and start riding like nothing happened. Yeah front fork style is definitely the best way to go. Slack core is awesome. I like the 1220 model.
Deck size?
@waldo2635 thats a great question, unfortunately since i dont have the scooter and never got to form a partnership with Gotrax, i dont know the measurements or full specs of the scooter. 😬🙏
@waldo2635 i know Kizi Ewheels on youtube got sent a free GX3 from gotrax, so maybe he can be able to answer that for you. Im sure he'll get back to you. He's a cool guy. 😁👌
Anyone figure out how to remove the speed limiter yet?
price ?
$1,999.00 on the Gotrax Website or $1,999.99 at bestbuy, and if you happen to have their credit card, you can finance it for 12 months, so the payments wont be too high. Target also has it for the same price.
gotrex is the transitiun from childrens and teenz into adult and so it iz the most dificult to werk and repair but if yu have patience it will save yu muny and yu might lern from it and make progress
Thats very good feedback. I agree, i did notice that a lot of people have a hard time getting in touch with Gotrax for customer support, your pretty much on your own and like you said you will have to learn to repair your own scooter if you get one of these Gotrax. This GX3 was wonderful to ride though. I was so impressed with the soft suspension and the smooth acceleration.
I bought one too, not a bad scoot. But yes gotrax is a shit company for costumer service. Should’ve bought an in motion.
Terrible scooter for the money
Im assuming you own this exact GX3 scooter and can speak from experience on how it does performance wise? It would be super helpful to everyone to post up a video review of your experience, i always like to speak the truth about anything i try out based on my experience. Unfortunately i cant speak for the reliability of the Gotrax GX3 because all i was able to do was a quick test ride and though i liked it alot, it would be a deal breaker for me if it has reliability problems. So whenever you can please have the courage to put up a video. There is hardly any info on the GX3, infact i think i was actually the first guy on youtube to put one up in the GX3. 😅
Lmao you probably don’t even own one let alone rode one I have two and they are fantastic
Yeah i wish i cant get one
