    to all our followers:
    strength wars is no place for political or religious statements or messages. we believe that every athlete should be threated the same, no matter where he's from, what's he believes in or what he looks like - as long as he respects and tolerates everyone (as far as we can witness).
    we specifically asked the athlete about the meaning of his shirt and if it has a political backround, he refused. it actually is our fault that we did not use google, but with 40-50 people on the set, you often have other problems than to google the meaning of a word you have never heard of. no one of our crew identified the shirt as such.
    political messages will be explicitly prohibited in the future. the athlete got temporarily banned until we figured out what kind of organisation it is.

      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armenian_Secret_Army_for_the_Liberation_of_Armenia
      "Political objectives:
      - Force an end to Turkish colonialism by using revolutionary violence
      - Attack institutions and representatives of Turkey and of countries supporting Turkey
      - Affirm Scientific socialism as the main ideology of Armenia"
      Edit: it was a good and fair fight, and that lousy t-shirt doesn't make this strength war unbalanced or unbiased, but please, be more careful next time, BBR - maybe you should give your sponsors' t-shirts to the contestants to avoid things like this. Keep up the good work!

      Is not abouth political messages bro, is about terrorism, about assasis . We must listen to our principles beyond all (including the channel) and dont forget it, dont forget, not to forget anyone .... In the summer of 2016 neither France nor the program deserve this person that support terrorism.
      I want think that Voskan is so young for understand his acctitud and acts, and was a jounger mistake... Hope...

    Calisthenics is great to watch, but lifting weights is out of their comfort zone when competing against strongmen and bodybuilders. They can lift their body with ease, but when you add weights they usually come up short in these competitions. With that said the calisthenics dude was impressive in pull-ups with 20kg added weight.

  • @jedikiller11
    @jedikiller11 8 років тому +70

    i see this happen time and time again. Voskan guy clearly had the potential to win but he clearly burnt him self out on the pull ups because he didn't rest. I think its the aragance of people that get's them. Power or strength doesn't mean much if you can't use it properly. These guy's need to exercise time management and adequate rest between each challenge. I honestly think we will see different results in some cases.

    • @Drinko76
      @Drinko76 8 років тому +7

      You are right. It just amazes me that so many of these competitors do not understand that they need to set a proper pace., and rest between sets.
      I think arrogance is a factor as well. But also maturity and experience matters. The german guy is older and more seasoned and clearly knows his limits better than the young armenian guy. In this case the more experienced athlete outsmarted the less experienced one.

    • @crazy10bears
      @crazy10bears 8 років тому +33

      Somehow Voskan was very weak at those dips. Plus those failed attempts really pried the energy out of his triceps.

      I get that. I believe that if you do not to the form correctly, it should not be done at all. Compare it to a job, get it done sloppy or look good while you do it.

    • @back2normality
      @back2normality 8 років тому +9

      Have you ever seen power lifting or strongman events?
      They would do the initial reps pretty fast.
      If one performs it slowly , you are just tiring yourself out for no reason. The form you are saying is correct in the bodybuilding gains context, not when you want a job to be done.
      And yes it looks Damn impressive when a person does it fast like it is so damn easy for him.

    Great show of power and strength from Voskan. This battle was a prime example of how training SMART can take you places. Voskan completely gassed out with the 20 straight set pull-ups. Should have split that up into two or 4 sets of 5 etc. The result would have been a lot different. Well done to both. They've done tremendously to get to where they are. I can barely do 3 bodyweight pull-ups lol. Baby steps. But plenty of hard work, courage and mental toughness to get to where these beasts are.

      Although I agree in this case it's a matter of exercise, all muscle groups exhaust the same nervous system and it's quite easy to burn out your system when you're working with RPE 9+.

      Austrian Powers What? You try and hit some heavy squats for reps then go straight into a heavy bench press and hit them for reps. Do that, upload a video. I'll believe your 'different muscle group' broscience.

      @stephenhogan6202 8 років тому

      I agree it is better to break up a set so you don't smoke your CNS. He probably would have done better if he had done so. However in this case he failed on dips as his tri's gave up. That's why he couldn't lockout at the top. He did say he was weak on dips. It definitely wasn't CNS as he was able to go straight to squats and smash them out. Great battle though!

      The only thing i feel superior in, is morally. I call them a shithole, because of how fucked up islam is and what it does to peoples mind. Chopping of peoples heads on a daily basis and having 12 wifes that you would burn alive if she didnt cover her face is fucked up. So morally, i do indeed feel superior yes, Im kinda poor myself to be honest lol

    • @omarelsayed1

      Oh wauw how rich from you to say all of this. And btw why .. just WHY do people compare those 10.000 isis f*ckers with the other billion muslims who do not have 12 wifes, who do not chop people's heads 'because islam' and who do not burn people. You really think all of this is written in the quran, I'm a true muslim, who has LOTS of atheist friends and believe me, I don't think about blowing myself up. It's not human what they do. Please stop the nonsense of judging on the religion itself.. look at the people themselves.

      Yeah the muslims in murica and europe are not like this, but the muslims in the origin countries are like that. All of them are fucked up like this.
      Im also done here, no point in discussing this with a muslim.
      "But islam is the religion of peace bro!"

    • @omarelsayed1

Terorrism and all that madness started after the attacks in Iraq etc. There was 0 problem with Arabic countries before the stupid decision which btw USA supported to start building Israel in a fcking arabic country. Islam is a religion of peace but you f*ckers f*cked the countries where Islam used to be real. They live in terrible conditions now where even religion can't change their minds. you pathetic prick blame whatever you want, dont even reply like you said, you don't know what's happening around you. i think they choose bodybuilders that do a lot of pull ups on their trainings,most of bodybuilders can't do complete range pull ups ex: Jeff seid,Alon Gabbay etc... so...

      No they pick any thats willing to join strength wars. Before they start vs each other they have like a week of practice doing different exercises that has to do in strength wars. If they do bring a bodybuilder such as jeff seid they'd definitely even pay him someone like him will get them more views which equals more money.

      +arabah72 Don't think that in 1 week you can prepare pull ups

    • @arabah72

      pablo mp These are exercises all lifters do even calisthenics and cross fitters these are basic lifts but put together it becomes very hard and competitive. Their not supposed to give you time to practice because this a battle not a mens physique competition. But I think a few weeks is what they give them to get an idea of the lift so they know what their doing when it comes to the battle.

      +arabah72 I do calisthenics bro,but i think that an average bodybuilder don't do so many pull ups, just my experience,in My gym i see bodybuilders doing shitty pull ups

    • @arabah72
      @arabah72 8 років тому

      +pablo mp bodybuilders do but there are many lat exercises so it's not necessary a main lift. I'm a bodybuilder and the differences between a bodybuilder is that they are not intensive when it comes to exercises like pull ups and body movement.

      c'est surtout qu'il remontait à fond à chaque répétition, son adversaire non. d'ailleurs Tetzel le rappelle à l'ordre. enfin bien jouer pour lui quand même et j’espère qu'on le reverras.

    If Voskan took his time on the dips in stead of doing 10 at once, he would have won.

      My thought so, He should have split 20 dips into small sets, and not rest too much on the bars like that

    • @patootie3529

      He should have split the pull ups in two sets, not splitting the dips. The pull ups gave him a lot of fatigue.
