This is one of the most exciting Home Theater build series on UA-cam right now. Looking forward to seeing the next part regarding crossovers. Really interested to see where the infinite baffle best crosses over with the rest of your setup. Bravo!

I agree. And also very well documented 👍.

I would definitely use MSO (multi sub optimizer) for this.. Also, the internet likes to see a 5db scale usually (along with the log axis view)

    Nice video
Change your frequency Axis from Linear to Logarithmic for easy comparison to other people's graphs

Thank you very informative. I just started my dsp journey one question. After you finally finished do you go back into the AVR and make any changes to the settings you set at the beginning of calibration

Hello! There really shouldn't be anything you have to do to the AVR settings after you are all done, as Audyssey will reset your crossover points for your main speakers after it runs, which is after you are done with your sub system. If you want, you can 'double-check' Audyssey, which is what I did, by using your calibrated mic and the sound meter function inside of REW. At the Main Listening Position (MLP) to go to your speaker settings and make sure each channel of speaker is measuring 75 db. Some like to increase their overhead Atmos channel 1-2 db higher, which is what I did as well. It's personal preference. Otherwise, I don't believe I changed any other settings, othat than adjusting the Subwoofer Output in order to reach the amount of bass you want out of your system. Sometimes I have to adjust this up or down depending on the movie I'm watching. Good luck!

Looks amazing. And I'm shure sounds even better. I would love to see rew measurements at high SPL. Do you think you could dig into the infrasonics (Single digits) if you wanted with this setup? 😉
    Keep it up 👍

I have plans for a RTA (real time analysis) video using the tool in REW for a future video. Maybe I can get to reference level during that video to see what happens. I'm not sure about infrasonics....I haven't researched that enough to know if capable or not. I would imagine the 18's could handle it but I'm guessing I'd need to turn off the SVS subs. Just a guess though.

@@TyEichele as far as I know the svs are protected by the buind in dsp. So you shouldn't be able to damage them (I would still turn them for infrasonics of though, at least "long term"). But don't just take my word. Don't want do be responsible.

@happyfisch1033 Just some friendly information, infrasonics is 19Hz, and below. I love low freq.!

@@evilinside5984jup, I should have wrote "(even single digits?)". Especially because I know/knew that. I love low freq. Too 👍!

@@happyfisch1033Sorry if i seemed like i was being a d bag. But for the longest time, i thought subsonic, meant 19Hz, and below, because most car audio amplifiers, have a subsonic filter, and i was told that filter was to cut off freq. below our hearing range of 20Hz. Now i know that word subsonic, is not usually used/understood properly. I like to let people know that 19Hz, and below is called infrasonic, so they dont say the wrong word, and look like a dummy, like i did for years, cause i thought i knew what i was saying🤦‍😆

It's just sitting there, not mounted to anything.

You missed out in a way just how it sounded to the ear once done.

I'mm not sure I understand....you mean before I tuned it? I did play a couple of demos before I did this but they were overpowering of course! Sound is much better now that they are level matched and aligned and eq'd.
