Good idea Or depending on where you are you could gift them someone starting out I just need one Wanting to do what Brent is doing but I only have big motor and trans. But Brent is the genius when it comes to building
Got a 1937 D2 made into Rat Rod ! Cut 5" off bottom of cab made my own bed with boat trailer fenders , made new floors ! Every screw had to be drilled out ! You got a better deal than I did !
Definitely going to be a kewl budget build . Here in Kentucky the 98-2000 S-10's Blazers with the 4.3's go for $500 to $1000 rust free . Need to borrow a Big trailer and drive the general out this way . Project vehicle's galor. Thanks Brent !!
Agree my wife could care less about cars and hates to spend a penny on anything So building around my house is more about making me feel guilty other than support
Really looking forward to this one Brent, i bought a 02 4.3 v6 S10 extended cab for my beater early in the year for my daily with the plan that I may drop an old truck on it, then a few months ago I came across a 46 ford truck cab, hood n front complete axle, i bought it with the same idea budget patina daily driver
I had a friend that had a I believe a 36 international pickup and he said it on an S10 frame it turned out pretty awesome he did a wonderful job of fitting the body to it
I had an Iron Duke in my '91 S10 sort box as well. Top speed was 85, down hill with a tail wind and the gas pedal buried to the floor. lol. Not a lot of power, but bulletproof.
The Iron Duke was a good motor. I had one (in a 1991 S-10 short bed) I sold that I bought new, and was still running STRONG with 243K (miles). It may have used a little oil between changes, but there was no smoke. It didn't bog or anything I just finally replaced it after 10 yrs of running the crap out of it. You mentioned the duke a few times and it brought back some memories! Cheers!
Its crazy it has cowl vent and crank out window. I can dial up a command start to operate a throttle kicker if thats what you go with. Perhaps a trade of some sort. I like the style of this truck, only drawback is the tiny cab. 2.8 isnt the worst, just leave a little room for 2 more cylinders when you build it.
My daily is a 1986 s10. 2.8 efi. I have 350k on the original engine & trans. Hella reliable. Easy to fix. Zero power but does 70 on the hwy. Yours must be 82-84. Dash changed after that. I actually prefer your dash & think you can cut the Internationals dash to have it fit. This looks like a fun time/ Nice thing about the s10. Easy to upgrade to a 350. Ty for taking us along
My first new truck was an S-10 4x4 ext cab.. It had the 2.8 with a 5 speed. I loved it ... A 1986 I think.. Two tone brown. It had a.c. but I rarely used it because it sucked so much power...
Sometimes when an engine won't start after sitting outside, it's due to field mice nests plugging the exhaust. I had a 2.8 in my Pontiac; it had more guts than the Mitsubishi 3 litre in my Plymouth.....and the Pontiac was heavier than the Plymouth.
I'm Diggin' this one, cause I'm building a 1949 International ! But I'm using a 1959 Willys frame & 226 c.i. Flathead 6 cylinder. Weèee ...Newk from Kentucky
I've got a 1941 Pontiac four door sedan that's pretty solid, I'm knocking the idea around of using an s10 as a doner because I want to make an all the time driver,I'll be watching.
I had a 2.8 TBI in an 87 S10 Blazer many years ago with an automatic transmission. It was the most gutless drivetrain combo I have ever owned. I hope the 5 speed manual makes up for that underwhelming V6.
Hello, back in the day - late 90’s to early 2000’s , I purchased a 1935 Dodge Pickup & owned a 1945 Chevy S10 . I also had a good friend who could build anything, much like you . After a short time the Dige sat on The S10 . We (he) installed a 305 Chevy complete with auto tranny Since this was a “ budget Build “ things were kept basic . It was painted Yellow Rust Check and I installs new burgundy interior. Drove this year round as my only transportation. I say go for it
I loved International Trucks (like Diamond Trucks too), and I virtualized some of them. On each one I removed the running boards, I think it gives the truck an amazing look when the vehicle is very low on his wheels. You might say that a "step-side" box without any step is senseless. Yes and that's why it's fun. 😁 So, there are many awesome projects we are restless to see. Kool !
One of my brothers and I had S trucks with the 2.8 and manual transmissions. Both were black with a gray velour interior and fairly loaded with options. His was a Chevrolet and mine was a GMC, but aside from the grills and tailgates they were identical. Neither were powerful but the gas mileage was great and they ran forever.
I’m feeding off of your excitement. Can wait to watch the development. I just jumped on Facebook marketplace and 400… not where I’m at. Been following you for years. Thank you for showing
Really cool, Brent ! First bigger truck ever drove was a 57 International, for local kerosene delivery. Always had a soft spot for Internationals. This one should be interesting.
I owned a 1999 a GMC Sonoma (stolen) and currently drive a 2003 S-10. Happy with the little truck. Very dependable. Both trucks have the extended cab with that wonderful third door. Why other light trucks didn't emulate that, I'll never know.
I think this will be a very nice build. S-10’s are available in most locations. The body design makes for a nice rod. Right after this, Brent PROMISES to get the ‘37 pickup back inside!
Looks like a worthwhile project. I've always liked those vintage of IH trucks. Amazing what the Canadian winters do to the undersides of a vehicle though; here in central North Carolina, the factory paint would probably still be on the S10 frame (yeah, I know, we are spoiled 🙂). Hello to Pablo.
There a couple older S-10's for sale in my area. I should buy them and gift them to Brent.
Yes
Good idea Or depending on where you are you could gift them someone starting out I just need one Wanting to do what Brent is doing but I only have big motor and trans. But Brent is the genius when it comes to building
I would like to see you finish the Studmino!!!🙂😀
Got a 1937 D2 made into Rat Rod ! Cut 5" off bottom of cab made my own bed with boat trailer fenders , made new floors ! Every screw had to be drilled out ! You got a better deal than I did !

There is just something about a wife that love your projects. Love Ester!!

Brent, I think the S-10 and the old front end are in love. Best wishes and blessings.

My 46 international is on a 91 s10 longed chassis. Really fun truck.

Nice, love that old cab set up, you'll be a busy boy this winter!
Thats one shop full of cool builds , Brent is one lucky guy.
Nice! Salvage all the good bits off that! Those dashes go for good money here where I live in that condition. Thanks for sharing!
Looks like Starting with a 💎 and creating a Priceless Jewel
I already see 1940 Ford headlights in it !
I'm Diggin' this one, cause I'm building a 1949 International !

Im doing a 39 Plymouth pu on an S10 with a Buick v6 n od trans.
I've got a 1941 Pontiac four door sedan that's pretty solid, I'm knocking the idea around of using an s10 as a doner because I want to make an all the time driver,I'll be watching.
Hey Brent love the ihc project. I have one as well. Also have a few s10. And 30s/40s chevy trucks. Yes in Manitoba
I could only imagine what you could do with two if you used both hands 😊
Brent as you got a noth room for esther and pablo you will be in the good book mate
That's a cool looking truck The parts look pretty good too. But an S10 2.8 is a boat anchor so if you have one LS it...
It will be fun to see how it goes with the low budget build. Certainly more fun than high budget projects that everyone else builds. 👍
Passed on a pretty complete 41 International Truck 8 years ago for a good price!
Kicking myself nowadays!
Wonderful project........................................oh yeah here for the music
Brett its wound like great with a choptop suitsided doors mate satin black mate
I had a 2.8 TBI in an 87 S10 Blazer many years ago with an automatic transmission. It was the most gutless drivetrain combo I have ever owned. I hope the 5 speed manual makes up for that underwhelming V6.

I like those S10 bills .down South we call international corn binders.👍
Bonjour Brent,je vous regarde depuis la France vous êtes un "artiste" ....

Looks like a good starting point.

Another good one 👍👍

Hey Brent, like this idea. Look forward to seeing how things come together. Be safe 👍
Go for it Brent I like it mint 😊😊😊😊
This will be fun. Like the concept of using what you have. Never seen a frame rott in a S10?. Come to Newfoundland and I'll show you lots. Hahaha.
This 38 is gonna be awesome, I love the good stuff
Brent you are so humble. Thid is going to be another great build. Take care and have a lekka weekend
Can't wait to see where this mochine ends up at .
Gonna look good. Check the dash fuses and or relays. Do you have any mopar rear fenders that would work?
Cool new project!
Nice grill
This is going to be an awesome build. Thanks Brent for the video
International truck aka son of a farm tractor.😊
Looks like this will be a really cool build! 👍😎
Thanks for sharing 😀👍
Gonna be a great watch 👍🏼
Nice looking forward to seeing this one
Fun project looks like it's going to be a good build.
That dash would suit the Studrancho.
I had an '83 s-10 2.8 5 speed and it was horribly under powered. I think the 4 cylinder would be better. Love the project!
I’m feeding off of your excitement. Can wait to watch the development. I just jumped on Facebook marketplace and 400… not where I’m at. Been following you for years. Thank you for showing
Love these budget builds that always make for a driver. Pablo says do it
As always, Your videos are great.
Don’t know how you keep such a fast pace!
Really cool, Brent ! First bigger truck ever drove was a 57 International, for local kerosene delivery. Always had a soft spot for Internationals. This one should be interesting.
I thought all of your builds were budget builds. Hello Buddy and Pablo!
I like it. Best regards from Germany, ray..
Just when I thought your plate was full. Make me stupid . Alway enjoy your work. Plus Esther Approved. Thanks for the tour. 💯👊👍💕
I had a 2.8 S-10 and it was a great little truck and reliable engine. Going to be an interesting build. Thanks Brent. Cheers from Utah
Projects are fun. I am not sure why but I like the International.
Have a merry Christmas
Sweet little truck 👍🏼👍🏼
What a nice way to spend a Wii a winter day! I enjoy seeing your builds!
I owned a 1999 a GMC Sonoma (stolen) and currently drive a 2003 S-10. Happy with the little truck. Very dependable. Both trucks have the extended cab with that wonderful third door. Why other light trucks didn't emulate that, I'll never know.
Cool project! ,,💯,, 👍
Wow its gone be a interesting build 😊
Great vid !! Another cool project. Like the old S10
That was a big truck
I think this will be a very nice build. S-10’s are available in most locations. The body design makes for a nice rod. Right after this, Brent PROMISES to get the ‘37 pickup back inside!
Gonna be cool and that’s a fact
send the window frame out to carters and get him to restore it hes great at the small details
Massive Potential. Seeing what you did on your last truck I'm a believer!
