VERY beneficial and insightful, George! Your contributions to this topic with, no doubt, help hundreds--or thousands--of D1 users extend the life and value of their/our machines!

That was a good video George. I’m an xTool owner and I religiously clean mine. Coming from an industrial process automation maintenance background, I know the important acne of cleaning. I use 3 in 1 oil on rails. Just a dab on a paper towel and wipe down cleans and oils at same time.

Thank you for the nice comment. I am noticing the power of the lasers when turned up really high seems to "interact" with the lens cover thus reducing the power. When my 20 watt head arrive it came with an extra lens cover. More videos on the way, including I am going to buy a CO2 laser. I also have 3 more Diode Lasers that have been sent to me for review. Never thought people would like these videos this much. Cheers!

I was lucky I guess, I was one who received 10watt with no lens and that has been a blessing in disguise. I received mine mid November so I was one of the early ones to buy one

Any time! I love working out in the shop and sharing what I learn about my tools.

No matter how often you clean that lens, you will always eventually have to continue to replace the lens. It is what it is.

I have started to look at things that way also. I think they are just a wear point. It was my understanding of Light Science that lead to believe that, and even discover what the issue was. Thank you for the comment and confirming what I was thinking.
