The Nextbase 522GW dash cam has a few truly groundbreaking features going for it, but first let's take a look at the meat and potatoes of this product, the camera. The 522 GW records in a super clear 1440p, and displays video at a smooth 30 frames per second. This cam uses an improved 6G lens, which allows it to capture small but important details on the road like street signs, stop lights, and license plates. The cam has an impressive 140 degree viewing angle, so you won’t miss a thing that happens out on the road. The cam is also really easy to set up, and uses Nextbase’s patented Click & Go Pro mount that can be setup with just one hand. The high strength magnets ensure that you won’t have to worry about this cam coming loose, while being fairly easy to remove too! If you want to add additional cams, there are ports which allow you to discreetly add cameras basically anywhere in the vehicle without much trouble setting it up. One of the biggest features that the 522GW has to offer is complete Alexa control, which is going to feel very intuitive if you have any experience with Amazon’s AI technology. Nextbase worked closely with Amazon to make sure that the built-in Alexa added to the driving experience, and it really does make things easier. Voice control lets you play audiobooks or music, make calls, get directions, find parking, and a whole lot more with ease. Best of all the hands-off nature of Alexa means that you can do all this while maintaining both hands, and focus entirely on the road. Alexa is an adaptive AI as well, meaning that the more you talk to her the more familiar she becomes with your commands, vocabulary, and speech pattern. Alexa will only improve the more that you use this feature. Nextbase designed this cam to be as easy to use as possible, and that applies all the way down to the touchscreen on the cam. Playback, menu selection and file sharing is easier than ever before, and it will take only seconds to figure out the design. The 3 inch HD IPS screen is clear, and unlike dash cams of the past is about as responsive as your smartphone. This dash cam comes standard with a polarizing filter, reducing glare and reflection while recording. It also utilizes a rotating bezel, which allows the user to set up their cam according to their unique preferences as well as the demands of the vehicle. The other big feature that the Nextbase 522GW comes with is Emergency SOS response. In the event of an accident, you want to know that you are still covered, and with the 522GW you definitely are. If you are unresponsive after a collision, the 522GW will send a response message through the app. After a few moments without a response it will automatically place a call to emergency services, along with the location that is automatically found with the cam’s built-in GPS. Pre-saved data like medical history and blood type will also be sent to the authorities, and can vastly improve response time and the effectiveness of the first responders. its not review its a commercial i have this device its not clear on screen and app not working always connection issues 6 second delay after hit on parking so if anyone hits you and goes awayafter 6 seconds you dont have any plate number at all
Does this have motion detection? Need a dash cam to catch vandalism

"INTELLIGENT PARKING MODE: Intelligent Parking Mode records any bump or physical movement on the vehicle when left unattended. As soon as you park and your ignition is turned off, the Dash Cam will automatically switch into "parking mode" by shutting down everything except the G Force sensor"
Not sure if it has motion detection but looks like it has bump detection.
@@ravenreviews4389 It's not bump detection, it works on vibrations, your car doesn't have to be "bumped" for it to turn on. It may work on sound too, I'm not sure. If anything we found it to be oversensitive, picking up passing cars all the time and so on. Maybe it can be adjusted, I'm not sure.
Got this Dash cam. The battery is dead on mine, it doesnt charge anymore sigh
i’ve had 3 and have had the same issue, batteries die and do not hold charge after a couple months, wonder if it’s the heat of the summer
actually got into a wreck with my last one, the 622gw and the battery was bad, when i wrecked, it came unplugged and the camera shut off cause the battery no longer held a charge and i lost the video of the wreck
