That Camaro V6 cost the same as a Corolla (around 140 hp) here in Argentina (the Camaro V8 I think it's over $100000 USD). It's just sad. Now I'm curious about cars that has the most HP but also best fuel economy.
As far as I know corvettes have a very tall 6th gear giving them insanely good fuel economy for such a massive engine.
If we are factoring in Electric Cars into the mix, the Tesla Model 3 LR AWD has 450 HP and costs $48,990 giving it $108 per HP. If you live in a place with cheap electricity, charging to full would cost around $5.

Well my 1998 S-10 that I bought from a graveyard for $200 makes 180hp stock, so I’m at $1.11 per horsepower...
CHEAP POWAH BAHBYY
that last point right there is why i like my veloster no frills but all the thrills, and with leather seats and a good sound system, its a huge upgrade to my old 2004 Hyundai Accent
I Love how he says hrsprs

They know their audience lol
I mean... It's a hot hatch. It's supposed to be flashy. Leave subtle for sport sedans and such.
I'm pretty sure he said he doesn't think it's actually riced. He just said that as a joke. But I may be mistaken. He could've said that about a different car.

Except its not rice
He should have said “ you love goin’ fast but you hate spending cash”
Yoooo! Noel READ THIS!! I bought a manuel black 2020 LT1 with white rally stripes as the only option for $31.8. Sticker was $35.4. Chevy family discount with a $1,500 cash rebate is how I got to $31.8. Just wanted to confirm that yes, this car is one HELL of a deal and a ton of fun! Thank you SOOO much for making this video. I subscribed and can't wait to watch more!
How is the handling?
@@user-ox5ir2rd6g It's very good especially on corner exit. You can tell the Alpha 2 chassis is extremely capable. The tires that come stock with the LT1 are not the stickiest. Not bad by any means but if I really needed that edge I would swap them out. Other than that very very happy with the handling!
"those aren't my words"
the honest man i have ever seen
Hey I just wanted to say I stumbled upon this channel when I really didn’t know much about cars. I really stayed only because of the hilarious comedy that is in the video. Now I am a car guy and my 2006 Honda minivan is currently about to get an anti roll bar and some turbochargers for some

Bro, slay some tires for us. 🤘
this is awesome! mo powa babeh on board
Say bye bye to your auto trans if you add more power.
Sorry but those transmissions are notorious for blowing up regularly on stock vehicles
man turning a van into a sports car. He on that PACK
Clif Bradley yeah the ac is already on its last legs RIP
Day 135 of asking James to do an Up to speed on his Dad
I agree
We need an up to speed on PaganiGaming.
Do it!
JUST DO IT!
PaganiGaming y do i see u everywhere
Thatguy67 I like the way you think lol
1 horse = 3000usd. 3000/15 = 200. One horse costs you 200usd per hp. One horse makes 14.9hp at peak but round it off to 15hp.
I mean this is the kind if stuff they should have taught in high-school
I'm upset James, car's weight should always be measured in Nolans.
They should try a list with Power/weightRatio per Dollar, it would crash the cheaper versions of muscle cars.
After the C8 Corvette name was said, I got an erectile dysfunction ad. Thought that was funny.
Do you really even watch Donut bro if you don't wait for James to say "I love you"?
5:47 hits me every time 😂
Holy hell, seeing the new look of the Hi Z is making me hyped for Season 2 of Hilow. That is the sickest 350Z i seen
I got my saturn ion redline for $1,400 out the door. Good ol’ 6.8 dollars per hrspr right there ;)
so was it trashed or what
@@ES350gitgapped kinda, 100k miles on it and reverse gear didn't work. everything else works fine though, so i think it was a steal honestly.
congratulations, lots of people sleep on the saturn red lines but they are very good
@@spork9255 I personally would say transmission damage is a no-go but ay there's money leftover for a new one now. Does anyone make new or remanufactured transmission for the redline?
I thought I caught a wicked deal when I bought my Cobalt SS Supercharged for $2500. That's $12.19 per hrspr so you've got me beat.
I'm thrilled that the 370z was mentioned, I love my car. Word of warning the standard engine feels like it belongs in a bus however, the aftermarket range for this car is huge. Nothing else is needed than a twin-turbo system producing 620 rear-wheel horsepower. The engine handles the extra power with grace, bumping it up in price but getting twice the car, it is amazing.
Got you tied for 1st place! My 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T, new in Nov 2012, 375 HP/400# ft torque, base model, 5.7L/6 speed/3.73 LSD was $28,500 out the door. That was $76 per HP.
Adjusted for inflation to 2020 that would be 85$/hp. Still great though.
Me watching this while playing forza driving a Ferrari F50: *hold up*
*hol up
LMAO fr
"Honda makes great engine"
2015 to 2017 McLaren Honda : uhhhh
GP2.
comparing everyday honda cars and engines to an f1 car... such a good point
@@SpeedyStone97 lol it's a joke, chill. I like Honda
Mclarens fault
@@DrKrFfXx-0 a YOKE
Once convinced a girl that horse power is determined by how many horses a car can drag across the ground
So I went conservative. We specialize in Honda Jseries V6 performance part(HondaJseriesEngine.com). Our shop car is a Turbo 600hp 06' Accord coupe 6speed J35 Swap making 600hp...car value roughly $6000, our custom turbo kit cost roughly $3000 = $9000/600hp = $15 per HP 💪😎🤙
fun fact: a horse can generate up to 14,9 horsepower in peak performance
14,9??
That makes the horse a better method of acquiring horse power per dollar than the McLaren 765LT @ $201/HP
Slap a CAI on it and u can prob squeeze out a few more
KneeDragon99 he means 14.9 horsepower, brits are weird
Dammit you stole my comment.... Entered comments to just type that... Except the , cause we are not weird like you people 😂
I'd like to see a follow up on this item! Horsepower PER unit of weight PER dollar. I would call it P/W/$. Probably an even more interesting figure to list :D
(you're welcome)
My immediate thought when I saw this video.
same
Yup
Bye bye dodge. Thats why they won't do it.
Yes exactly.
James: make the corvette into its own brand
Me: yeah I can see that
James: with its own sedan and SUV
Me: oh dear god no
James: which I really, really hope
Me: no no no no no no no do not say it
James: hope they do NOT do
Me: HALLELUJAH
Edit: also I did not expect the v6 Camaro at all
I wouldn't mind a sedan, but a suv? He'll no
There actually is already a Corvette SUV- the Trailblazer SS which had the same LS motor as the base C6.
Look at the James pic beside the vette and try to compare it with today's James. He really losing weight a lot 🤣
The Camaros are great values it’s pretty crazy honestly. I daily a 2019 2.0t and it handles fantastic, plenty of aftermarket as well.
Clif Bradley that suv is fye af
I paid $52.50 per hp for my 2015 Mustang Ecoboost. Well worth the price for how fun it is to drive.
