    ABOUT
This is another lesson in my Russian verb conjugation practice series where we learn how to use different verb forms in real examples. It´s not enough just to memorize verb forms by rote, you need to be able to remember them quickly and use the right form, which changes depending on the tense and pronoun. Today, we´ll be practicing how to conjugate the Russian verb to eat - ЕСТЬ - in present, past and future.
The video will consist of 2 parts. First, I´ll quickly remind you how to conjugate ЕСТЬ in all three tenses. Then, when you know all possible conjugation forms of ЕСТЬ, you´ll practice using them in context. You’ll see a sentence on the screen with a blank for the Russian verb to eat. Pause the video and put ЕСТЬ in the right form. Then you’ll see the right answer on the screen.
By the way, if you’re still struggling with Russian verbs, sign up for my free training that shows the best way to learn Russian verb conjugations so that you can remember the right verb forms easily, automatically and without even thinking.

So in Russian you can eat the cake, and have it too? Awesome! У меня есть торт. Я хочу есть торт. What more reason do you need to want to learn russian! Cheers and a happy new year to all my fellow learners!

A few days ago, I was memorizing your 50 top Russian adverbs and thought that мне удобно эти adverbs потому что они никогда не изменяюсь. But then I had a second thought: isn’t Russian unique and the more beautiful because of all the changes of its nouns and adjectives and verbs? The truth is I gave up on learning conjugation years ago

You´re not the only one! Verb conjugations and noun declensions are so confusing that many students give up on them

and my Russian suffered consequently. I had a hard time, for example, listening and comprehending. This morning, I decide to pick up conjugating, again! With есть. How hard can it be? Past and future are easy. It’s only the present, and they are only ем, ешь, ест, едит, едите, едят. With confidence, I started your exercise and, boom, I filled “Что твои дети будут есть на ужин!”😂 Only then did I remember есть is imperfect, which you said at the beginning 😀

I know that Russian verb conjugations seem totally random, but there is logic to it, I promise. Once you spend some time on it and learn the patterns, it´ll become much easier!
